These are cool little springs. I don’t have a vehicle with a trunk, so I won’t ever use it for the intended purpose. Actually one could get creative with these in adding resistance to automatically close a panel, kinda like a trash can door at a fast food joint. You push it in to throw out your waste, then it springs back to close on its own. Probably lots of other uses. I just wish I could make these work with my truck hood to keep it open like the cars did back in the 70s. Those were much bigger springs they had on that job though and with purposeful pivoting brackets. For the price, these are a good deal for two. I would order these again.

The product seems very nice however with the way the trunk supports for a bmw convertible work the springs will not work for me.

The latch hardware on my trunk broke from overcrowding causing the trunk to not stay fully opened when needed and slamming closed. The trunk lifter springs work great and now my trunk stays open at all times until closed. The springs are heavy duty and easy to apply. I did have to watch an you tube video to install them, since no directions were included. Overall the springs are a great product for purchase.
