WTF Thief for Hire Paperback – November 18, 2022

This book was a great read! Easy to read, if you want to read it at the lake or the beach. Loads of things happening in Thief for Hire, excited for book 2!

A throwback to the Jason Bourne era, with its own plot and twist. A quick read that is refreshing and makes you remember your childhood days of climbing trees, doing karate and dreaming of being a secret agent, saving the world from the bad guys. I do wish the ending was a bit more expanded. The first 2/3 of the book had the right pace, the last 1/3 seemed to rush through.

I picked up this book for a New Year’s vacation and couldn’t put it down. It’s a quick read with good characters. I’m a huge traveller so I loved all of the European destinations. I felt like I was traveling with WTF! It’s not the type of book I normally read (it’s fast-paced action adventure) but it was recommended to me by a friend. They were right… it’s a lot of fun! In all honesty a waste of time….. i am amazed on the predictability of the plot and the unnatural pace of the book!!!!!

I'm not much for the Crime-Thriller genre. Clive Cussler just isn't for me. But this book is an easy read. It reads very much like a Film would flow; and you can get done with it in 3-8 hours easy, depending on your reading speed.There is some details to be desired in the character development, and the world description. But the author gives you everything you need to follow the story, and know where you are and what's going on relevant to the character.This is very much a throwback to film Noire with the kind of One Liners, and Narrator quips that we see pop up and around.If you aren't an avid reader who needs big thoroughly written novels. This is a great book for you

This was a fun and exhilarating read! It is one of those books you can put down, the author takes you on a road trip to Europe without leaving your seat. This action-filled book leaves you asking for book 2!!! Definitely recommend.

Fast paced...fanciful but in a fun I'm rooting for him way...looking forward to the next one. Really enjoyed this book

Faster faster more intense were words George Lucas used when directing Star Wars and the same words could be used for Marc - Allen’s first book absolutely breathtakingly fast action action action with barely time for WTF to stop for one of his ciggies a brilliant book fantastic for when you are flying somewhere and want to be entertained

Thief for Hire is a fun and fast read with a very distinct, very flawed, yet very likeable main character. The author takes the reader on a detailed, action-filled trip across Europe and I enjoyed how he succeeds in always giving the right „feeling“ for each place he describes.Having read and enjoyed Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn, Marc-Allen Barker had me inhale his Book and I can‘t wait for Book 2!

I absolutely loved this book! It’s not my usual kind of read, but I honestly couldn’t put it down… I can’t remember the last time I read a book so quickly in fact. It’s full of action, wonderful British humour and just a really easy, fun, book to read! As WTF (William Trevor Francis) would say… ‘It doesn’t suck’… And it really doesn’t!Highly recommended
