Mountfield Genuine 81004365/3 44cm Blade

Original part, easy to fit, (I balanced my mower on two wheelie bins so I could work from beneath without tilting the mower and oil within) and made a real difference to the cut look of my lawn. (cutting the grass rather than tearing it). I have now sharpened the old blade and kept it for a spare. Good value for the money.

A well made product which returns the mower to its original cutting ability. The replacement of the blade is easy enough given that you have the correct tools but the removal of the old blade can be darned difficult to impossible at times, especially if corroded on. I had to use an impact drill with a socket to fit the last time I changed mine. Once off though it's an easy job to fit the replacement. The blade is protected with a coating which seems to be baked on and this covers the edge of the blade. However, after a short time this wears off the cutting edge whilst the rest remains to protect the blade and in any case these blades don't need to be razor sharp as it's the tip speed which does the cutting. Overall a good product which restores the cutting performance of your mower. I'd recommend.
