Right up there with "What Color Is Your Parachute"
As a Da Vinci-Cursed (DVC) person, I recognized myself in all of Lospennato's descriptions. Since I am a semi-retired Senior Citizen, it is no longer as important as it once was for me to select a form of employment that will pay well while at the same time being fulfilling enough to avoid job burnout. Still, the exercises did help me to narrow my focus on things that I actually want (and need) to do, and to avoid things that would not be worth my time - in much the same way that the classic job-hunter's manual, What Color Is Your Parachute, has done for me during several past career changes.

Good Book for Narrowing Down Life's Missions
I've done many things over the years. Bought this book as a help for narrowing those down. It takes a different tack than other self-help books, very brass-tacks and realistic. It does have some minor grammatical errors (which as a writer bug me) but none of it disrupts the readability. If you feel you have too many things on Life's ledger, try this book - it could help!

a highly recommended book for those who suffer from the DVC
I never knew I had the DVC until I read this book! So thank you, Leo!However, I'm giving this book 4 stars because I didn't find the first part of the book of any relevance to me, although it made quite an impression (the author is really well read!). The step-by-step guide in the second and third parts of the book really helped me to prioritise my talents, interests and passion. Overall, a highly recommended book for those who suffer from the DVC!

Difficult to Read
I'm a Masters degree education fool, and this book is not easy to read. There are lots of typos, and run-on sentences. I was expecting more from the cover, as books do tend to be judged by their cover regardless of that silly saying about not doing that. And yes, I ended that sentence with a preposition.I got through the first 3 chapters and hit a roadblock. The author seems to know what he's talking about, but I'm just not having any luck finishing the book. Probably because to me, it seems very theoretical and not so practical. Others might say it's very practical, but hey, this is my review. Take it for what it's worth to you.

AWESOME and ORIGINAL BOOK!!!
Fun to read and to the point. An intelligent book that's a mandatory reading for people interested in many activities/jobs/hobbies but afraid to commit too much to any of those. The solution: heterogeneity and challenge! Highly recommended. Go for it.

Highly recommended.
Being a "da Vinci cursed" myself, I read several other books on the subject. Inevitably, their "self-helpy" tone bothered me. Not this one. Crudely honest, the da Vinci Curse fills ALL the blanks. It ends up being indeed motivational, but that is not its objective. It starts discussing the "renaissance" personality (people with too many interests, ever-changing passions, and many talents, who never achieve true mastery in anything), its causes, and its dangers. Then it uses Gödel's theorem to unravel the old "Meaning of life" chestnut in an original way, and to confront the own Shadow (that unconscious, darker part of our personality). My favorite part, however, is chapters 8 to 12--a step-by-step process to create a focused portfolio of activities that makes sense as a whole and that is complex and stimulating enough as to be sustained in the long term.Well written and fun (with touches of humor here and there), this book is a delight to read.

A must read for Jack of All Trades people
A must read for all those who find their true calling in multiple areas. This book helps to narrow down our focus with simple yet practical tips. While reading I felt like I am with a friend (the author) who is just helping me to understand myself better & take a wise decision ahead.Worth reading!

Great book for the creative people having more projects then time
This book gave me some very helpful insights on how to structure my projects.Far more then that the author shares wisdom he has been seeking in a lot of books that I would have read myself, if a I had the time.
