New go-to
I prefer this over my arc-one. More responsive, cheaper, clearer.

Works great....but is this normal?
Love the blue lens! I'm using it in my pancake hood and it works great except when I stop welding, the lens will kinda flash before turning completely clear again. Is that normal? Other than that I love the lens.

A MUST have if you weld outside, in areas with direct sunlight!
As a welder with more than twenty years of experience with auto-darkening lenses from Jackson, ArcOne, Miller, Lincoln, Huntsman, Fibre-Metal, Radnor, Antra, and about ten other lesser known brands, I want to optimize your use and expectation for this product. If you plan to use this in a very well lit workshop environment or out of doors, in directly sun lit areas, then this is an exceptional lens! The true color claim it makes is absolutely legitimate--even a bit startling. You put on your helmet and look through this lens and every color appears the same as it did before you suited up! I have never experienced anything like that prior to this lens. A truly spectacular experience. When you strike your arc, you will see what is actually visible rather than a green or blueish tinted version of your world. The clarity is exceptional and I honestly rate it over some 1/1/1/1 [the highest rating for clarity in auto-darkening lenses] lenses I have used, despite the fact that this is a 1/1/1/2 rated lens. If true color and clarity are a factor for your job, then this can't be beat. That said, this lens is a bit dark for its assigned designation. I ordered a 10 shade and am glad I did! It is not offered in a shade-selectable version so you either chose a 3/10 [3 is the dormant mode of the lens and the second number reflects what it changes to once you strike an arc], 3/11, or 3/12. In extremely well-lit areas, everything worked exceptionally well but when I ventured into the more obscured and shadow-riddled areas of the shop, I found myself surprised at how dark the arc was and I literally had to check to make sure I wasn't wearing tinted safety glasses while I used it--something those of us who work in the sun drenched outdoors of Florida regularly don for UV protection. After confirming--on more than one occasion, I might add--that I was wearing clear lenses, I immediately determined that this is best suited for construction sites in blaring, outdoor sun. Next best would be shop areas with intense and brightly lit work benches where high level detail work can be completed. I did not test this for low-amperage sensitivity such as TIG work, but I typically use a lower shade than a 10 for such work in the first place, hence my not testing it in that application. In summation: if you are looking for a high quality lens that is suitable for plug-welding roof decking or top side work, then you won't find a better product. If you need a lens with true color representation as you work, then this is your best option. If you work in a brightly lighted environment and want real optic sensory, then this is a perfect match for you. However, if you alternate between light and then very dark areas and you have to see precise placement points to strike your arc, then you may not find this a good fit for you. It can't quite gather light, as it appears to be better at filtering it than pulling into a focal point. Conclusion: if you want a neat lens and you have a burning need to see and experience something different than what you typically find, then this offers a great return for your hard earned money. My breakdown for it would rate this as follows: 5 of 5 stars for value, 5 of 5 for clarity and color recognition, 4 of 5 for versatility of use, and 4 of 5 for trueness to its advertised shade designation. If you are even considering getting it, then I say: GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. I would rather up my lighting to accommodate it rather than compromise the quality of my lens and use one that is less effective, owing to a poorly lighted work arrangement. The better you can see, the better you can weld, after all.

Awsome and you want an 11
This is one of the best welding lens i have used and the list of lenses i have tried is extensive. The true color is awsome, its like welding with sunglasses in a sence. Getting lost is a thing of the past due to the clarity, no more need for grinding grooves lol. shade 11 is perfect for stick and tig fyi. The shade 10 was ok for 6010 but the 7018 left spots in my vision and tig got painful for anything after a root pass. When this one goes out i will be buying another one and im finally done with hunt for the perfect lens for me. For the price i would highly recommend you just buy this and try it for yourself.

Not Worth It.
Just stopped working on me today after air arcing with it yesterday. Not sure if the excessive flashing burnt it out or what…. Previously had a Lincoln Viking Lens that lasted me about 3 years. I will be going back to that for the consistency. By my math. I’d be money ahead going that route. This lens may be cheap. (Worked pretty well for the first two months I used it only stick welding). But not worth the longevity. Plus it may put you in a tight spot if it goes out in an awkward spot.

No es lo que parece
Recibi el producto pero a la hora de soldar como que falla la sensibilidad de la luz de soldadura porque hace como si se quisiera aclarar. Es algo como incomodo mientras estas soldando.

Good deal for all
I have been a welder for 20+ years. I did not care for automatic lenses when they first came out because they were not as clear as glass and the shade was inconsistent.I now have several different brands that range in price. This color, shade consistency and clarity of this lens is as good as any of the others that I own. The blue tint is very pleasant to view the arc and puddle. I got an 11 and I do mostly SMAW from 60 to 240 amps, it is perfect for me.This lens is slightly more sensitive than one that has a sensitivity adjustment but it’s not a deal breaker for me.I am running this lens in a pancake with a thick glass cheater and it slides in perfectly.Happy Welding

Quality Product
These have a very nice blue colour, and a very consistent level of shade all around the viewing area. These are only designed for about 700 hours of use, FYI. I had one stop working at about the 300 hour mark, and they promptly sent me a replacement. Overall a very good price for the clarity. I love them.Interprovincial Red Seal Journeymen WelderCurrent SMAW and FCAW CWB tickets12 years of Canadian Oil & Gas and Shipbuilding Experience

amazing deal
No joke this thing offers better clarity than my esab sentinel. Bought a $15 flip front from princess auto and threw this in and it's my go-to lid now. The shade 11 seemed real bright, maybe cause it's true color so if you can try to get a shade darker, unless you're used to welding with a shade 9 or 10.Great customer support, great product, no battery required, no brainer.

8 out of 10
Lense works well. Clearity is excellent but does flash on and off when welding in between tubes. I’ll try the shade 11 next just because the colour is so differentUpdate after three or four different shutdowns….I hav used this now on the last few jobs and have to admit I am loving this lens more and more. No eye fatigue, love the colour and the lens in stand by at 2.5 shade I can actually do things and not have to flip up all the time unless grinding. I will purchase this again most definitely.

Excellent lens!
I bought this in an attempt to use a lighter helmet as I’m off work with cervical nerve problems. It fits my old CIG hiderock helmet. I was very happy to find that a better lens was shipped. I received a 2.5/10 with the 1/1/1/1 rating. I own 2 Panoramaxxs, 3 Miller Elites, and 1 Lincoln 3350. The old CIG is lighter, definitely more comfortable because of simple head gear, and now the clarity beats the others. I haven’t compared it to a newer helmet with 2.5 light shade but doubt I could be convinced to shell out $500 plus for a heavier bucket to stick on my head with over engineered convoluted headgear. Highly recommended from a BC Welder/Fabricator/Instructor/business owner.
