does not have base plug in to electricity as well as battery.
One of the boxes was missing the tightening nut., it held the reflector to the plate. we needed two of the really bad, so we sacrificed that one rather than the hassel of sending it back.. would like a replacement for that one.

1/2 Mile Hosmart Rechargable Driveway Alarm Wireless Sensor System
I purchased and just finished installing the Rechargeable Alarm system with 4 sensors. Assembly and installation was very simple. I charged all the sensors until the blue light went out and set the sensitivity to Hi. The range on Channels 1 and 2 is very good. Channel 2 sensor is mounted approximately 400 feet from the base station. The base station is positioned on a side table in the middle of the house and the signal goes through a brick wall and two interior walls. Channels 1 and 2 work as described. The range on channel one is over 30 ft when set on High during the day but seems to drop down at night to about 20 ft. The red indicating light works as described in the instructions. Channel 2 is a little less sensitive when set on high but is still about 20 feet. This one also seems to be more sensitive during the day with sensitivity dropping at night to about 15 feet. The red indicating light also works as described. On zones 3 and 4 the sensor range is very short. Movement has to be within 5 feet to alert the sensor. I tried repositioning the sensitivity switch to Mid and Mid2 with no effect. Contacting customer service did not provide any feedback. The short range for Channels 3 and 4 is disappointing. Changing the sensitivity or channel selection is inconvenient since you have to take the sensor down and remove 4 screws. I don't expect to need to do this very often but just getting set up was a chore.
