Isle of Man 2011 one crown struck in cupro-nickel by the Pobjoy Mint, 38.6mm in diameter, to commemorate the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29th April 2011. The reverse design depicts the portraits of the royal couple taken from their appearance at a friend's wedding in 2010. The obverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is housed within a display that is held in a slide open protection case, sized 64mm x 64mm. The display and case are in New/Mint condition and the coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition. The manufacturing process for the display includes a precision laser cutting method to create the necessary holes for the required coins to be inserted and held, safely recessed, in the correct position.
