Good - but don't last long.
Very prone to dampness - usually need replacing in 6 months.

Can be used as a hidden tamper alarm for garden machinery too.
The thing I like best about this padlock is, its versatility. With the 'C' shackle inserted one way. it behaves like a normal heavy duty padlock (turn the key to open and the same to lock it again) However, if you take off the removable C shackle, turn it through 180 degrees and re-insert it, it becomes a tamper proof, alarmed padlock which is perfect for securing to any moveable garden machinery or plant.I own a ride-on lawn tractor/mower that cost me the best part of Β£1,800 and it's kept in a locked shed.I have discovered that if I attach the lock to one of the steering track rods on my mower while it's set to the anti-tamper mode, it is impossible to move it more than a few feet, as the lock starts to swing which in turn, activates the 110db alarm, and the would be shed thief will have no idea where the noise is coming from.My only slight worry with this lock is the positioning of the alarm speaker. It's on the top half of the lock and points upwards. There are six small holes to let the sound out and If some clever burglar were to squirt some superglue into those 6 holes 24 hours before a planned break-in, I can't help wondering if the alarm function would still work, or even be loud enough to alert people? An unlikely scenario, I know, but possible nevertheless.

Strong, solid, extra secure
The media could not be loaded. Comes like any lock in a moulded shell on a cardboard sheet with all the instructions and info you could need. This is a nice thick heavy chunky boy right off the bat. Just looking at it look secure, even moreso in the hand. It uses a woodruff/half-moon key so isnt like your usual key lock hopefully adding that extra deterrent from any would be's. The battery compartment is also tucked away under the C part of the lock and needs a philips screwdriver to undo.It has an alarm that needs a jingle or 2 with warning beeps to say before the alarm goes off and everyone in the area is going to know if someone is tampering with it. The alarm is optional, done by rotating the C part of the lock where it becomes just your standard everyday padlock.
