A fun read.
I enjoyed this continuation of the story. I'm not sure what's going on with the 1 star reviews, because it seems like they're reviewing a different book.Wing Yu Long continues his story back at the Verdant Green Waters, dealing with sect politics and attempting to teach others his hard fought knowledge. There's not as much fighting in this book, but the story makes up for it. Well worth the read and I eagerly await the next book.

very good book
Very good book, but much slower than the previous book which I had really enjoyed . This book mainly revolves around yu wing growing in his sect , establishing his own department and healing

Filler book
This book had a lot of characters, and a lot of time passing, a lot of medical baths and healing, but not much progress in plot. The theme if this book is resting and healing so I found it mostly boring even if I understood its importance to the story. I am glad that this book sets up the next one for the Wandering Gather to return powerfully, but the last book was also a lot of set-up with little pay off this book. I need more progression! And I need the beat to drop! Still it was an enjoyable read. However, I would prefer longer books with more plot progression.

Still Love the Series
Very well written, the pacing is great, and the story is alive. If for some reason you just happened to look at the reviews of a book 10 without starting the series. Start it.

love this series
I love this series of books. It is fun to read, I have to say that this one was not as action packed as previous books. But still a good read. Can’t wait for the next one.

and another one
Another great book in the series. Different considering the lack of travel, but also a needed reckoning, a home coming. Thank you Tao.

Good writing but felt incomplete
A low 4. Good read, really enjoyed reading but... but gelt like half a book with a sudden abbreviated didappointing climax... However that should be fixed by the final two assuming the author sticks with it. Ending felt... rushed.I give one in 100 books a 5. Or less. Keep that in mind! It may be impossible for me to give a middle book a 5.

Secretly Engrossing
Honestly, when you start, you think; "Another trip of enlightenment"? But, Mr Wong has a talent for story-telling. Before you know it, you're a third of the way through the book and can't put it down. The story is filled with the journey of enlightenment. But, also with sect politics, infighting, friends helping friends, how the sect works...and doesn't. There's differences in elders, apprentices, disciples, and how each of their views and goals differ.Really. This volume sucks you in and doesn't let you go until it ends.

Melancholy
I love this series. How it’s written, how our main character goes through everything. As suits it, I found t this nice to be a bit more melancholic, but I hope that it can grow into triumph from here.

It never disappoints
Thought this book does not deal with wondrous adventures, it is not lesser. The characters keep on growing, and new facets of them are shown. Tao Wong perfected a style that sounds like a Chinese classic (as far as my knowledge and experience goes) but accessible enough to allow for a smooth reading. I cannot wait to read the last two books, but I feel kind of sad already, for the end is near. This series is one I will be reading again after its completion.

Read it
Absolutely love this series, I’m not sure if this installment was short or just devoured too quickly but as usual left eager for the next one!

Love this series
I am sad it's coming to a close. This series was amazing to read about. I can't believe we are in the final arc. This book had low but important stakes. Slow stuff that helped just understand how fast Wu Ying's life was.A little stillness is necessary, and this book had it. It was nice to see all the stuff about the elders and the core disciples.

standstill of the story
I overall like the series, but literally nothing happened in the book. It was 400 pages where in other stories it would take a sigle chapter to tell a bit about sect life. You can safely skip this one and read the next.
