Jaws too small
Cannot use out of the box. The jaws are too small and barely open wide enough to cut the inner tube of a pen. Not the whole pen, just the inner ink tube.Pictured are the jaws opened as wide as I could open. Absolutely useless.

One Star
Would rate these zero if I could, they broke after one use.Update: received wonderful customer service from the company and while it doesn't completely fix the inconvenience it is nice to know that they care about their customers. I would try another product from this company in the future.

A very heavy toy.
ZERO stars! Blade failed on first try. It would make a cute paperweight if that's what you need, otherwise, save your money.

Not the best by a long shot
I was disappointed with these bolt cutters. I used them immediately when they arrived and the blades became damaged after 20 minutes of cutting 1/8 chain links...talk about disheartened. Had to stop so I wouldn't damage the item more.

It did not work
These did not have the impact I was expecting. I made sure I bought the appropriate size for cutting, but when we tried it just wouldn’t budge. I think the device itself took more impact than the bolt we attempted to cut. I did end up returning due to lack of quality.

Works as advertised, for reasonable use
My use, however, involved thousands of repeated cutting 8ga fence wire (for chainmail) and eventually the unit loosens up and stops cutting cleanly.Replaced with a lifetime warranty Kobalt set from Lowes for just $3 more. and... lifetime, walk in & swap, warranty. These are good if you're not using them for very heavy long term repeated use.

Not up to par
These seem strong enough but do not close all the way. So when cutting a bolt it leaves a little metal that must be bent and broke or cut with another tool.

Great for Large Diameter Wire
I ordered the product to cut 14 guage fencing wire. It is great for that job. It will cut a 1/4 inch bolt but it is a push. To be fair, I have bad arthritis in my hands and fingers and I need more leverage for a job any larger than cutting the wire.
