HOW SWEET IT IS!
This is not my first Canon Rebel camera body, it is only the best. I also own the T4i, which is also the best. Yes, there are very few functions between these for photographers to discern a difference. In my opinion, there is no need to get into those small improvements at this writing. .Buy the best price. I got this one for only $525.16, after shipping expense. With Amazon carrying this seller, I acted with confidence in making the purchase,Wow, just afterwards I found another supposedly "Black Friday" T5i priced at only $399.00. To me this seems nuts. Buyer beware. So, what can I tell you? I do not use the video functions of this camera. If I was interested in landscapes, and had the extra money, or was trying to become a professional, I would own a Canon camera body with a full 35mm photo sensor. All the Rebel series use a sensor size of multiple minus 1.6." , or something like that - I'm ignorant concerning math. Anyway, while this size is much larger than those pocket cameras and phones, it is somewhat smaller than 35mm.I was born with a very quick eye. I made my living diagnosing a hundred or more daily specimens to detect early signs of cancer with a microscope. I've been retired for several years. Now-days I shoot dogs, children, and adults in a frenzy of (socially respectable) love. These are my joy today.. The whole of the Canon Rebel series is more than enough for me to do great work covering my personal interests in photography. Even very serious amateurs should be happily satisfied with the T5i - truely. Just check out the specs and the prices. And always consider the reputations of the sellers. And I almost forgot: If you own more than one digital camera, rename your new photo files numbers so you don't accidentally over-print and loose earlier shots when you save new ones. What do I know? Not much. I'm just having fun and trying to be helpful to people like myself.Oh yah, follows is my favorite lens for what I use most of the time: SIGMA 50mm - 200mm zoom. This low cost lens is quite sharp throughout its full range and has no obvious linear distortions or shortcomings that I can detect. But I'm only comparing it with my several other lenses - all by Canon.UPDATE 30 December 2014:WOW! I now see the price on the Amazon site for this camera body for under $400.00. This is insane. The Canon EOS Rebel T4i is selling for a lot more, and really, the T5i is a tiny bit better. Not enough to count, but still better. Serious shoppers should grab this while the grabbing is good.
