Perhaps I ordered wroing but I expected it to be pick and pluck. Made fitment very hard work. Won't buy again. The foam itself is ok - hense an exra star

Easy to create neat cut outs as long as knife is very sharp
This works well when using a very sharp Stanley knife or multi tool. Neat and smooth edges can be achieved the foam is fairly dense I've uses this to upgrade a small flight case, it was used to carry a drone in but I've upgraded to a newer model, nothing wrong with the hard case but the cut out shapes needed to be different. I managed it with these foam inserts. It secures and protects my drone and the accessories from damage. I'm pleased with it as its the first time I've diy'ed it. It also glues down to the hard shell case plastic surfaces.

Does not cut cleanly
I use shadow foam to create trays of small plastic bottles that hold crafting supplies. I usually mark my foam with a pencil, cut straight edges with a knife against a straight edge, then use a wood bit hole borer on my electric drill to take out cores the size that hold the bottles in place. This usually works perfectly, leaving clean cut edges. This shadow foam did not cut cleanly. It leaves ragged and crumbling surfaces on all cut edges. None of the holes I made cut cleanly. The positive attributes of this is that it is a tough packaging material. It will protect delicate items. The whole point of shadow foam is that it cuts cleanly and is easy to form to the shape of the item that you want to protect in a case or in transit., and then lasts in that shape so that it can be reused. This won't do that without leaving crumbly edges that shed little bits of the material over time.
