Top notch product, top notch seller
Unfortunately, we had to return this item because it was just too heavy for my wife to lift into our SUV. But I had a chance to try it out in the house, and this item is top quality. Initially, we were told a couple different results for return, but once we worked out the details for returning this item to seller, the seller was very understanding and cooperative. We would definitely purchase from this seller again.

Just what I wanted but with exceptions
This electric power chair is as advertised. The pros are is portability, quality construction, durability, power and ease of use. It operates very much like the much heavier Jazzy Quantum. The cons are the disengage device releases the brake only. In free wheel mode you still have to push through the motors which has some friction. Doable but requires some effort. Not as hard as the Jazzy Quantum in freewheel mode. Also due to the small confines of the bathroom it can't be operated with the foot rest on. The cross bar that supports the foot rest extends out further than we feel necessary and is a small encumbrance and does feel like it is in the way. The manufacturer would not stand behind the Jazzy Passport's use and liability with the foot rest removed let alone the cross bar support removed and reinstalled further back on the Jazzy, so until the warranty is finished we will have to make due with the foot rest removed only then maybe later we will find a good welder that can modify this.Reading in the manual its states that the arm rest are not sufficient strength to be used for support getting in and out of this chair. We are used to a transport chair with is entered from the front and both arms are necessary for balance to access it. Some other means will have to be devised in order for this to be completed. The Jazzy Passport has more of the features that we wanted than any other Jazzy electric chair, let alone other manufacturers of electric chairs. We are of the hope we can overcome these small obstacles because other than that it seems to be very functional.

Battery Replacement costs $650 - $1272 not kidding
2021 UPDATE: Your battery (with good care/charging) will last about 2 years. Replacement batteries are hard to find and cost $650 - $1272. Not kidding. So it took 2 years to pay off the medical loan I got to buy this on Amazon (the cheapest at the time). After 2.5 years battery died. I had NO idea to replace the batteries on this particular chair every 2 years would cost 1/2 of the chair itself. Can't afford it. My chair sits folded in the corner of the room used as a coat rake. My independence, Gone. ORIGINAL Post: Disabled. Use an electric wheelchair - which does Not fit in my car. So I purchased this a while back via Amazon. I had high hopes. It wouldn't be used everyday - just when I needed it when I drove somewhere. Since I got it - it won't move on it's own when unlocked/locked position switches are used. At all. So it is SO hard to maneuver into my car once power is off and it's folded down. Massive issue for me. Also that battery is WAY too hard to put in/take out from where it is positioned. I have to get on the ground - no matter where I am - to SEE the guide rails - to push in/take out. It takes forever for me to safely get Down and then back up again. I am fully disabled. If I had a 'do over' I would not go with this product. I too have found that the cost of a replacement battery is ABSURD. Keep looking if you are thinking of this product.

Lots of Potential, but it could be so much more.
I've been using this pretty extensively for 4+ months, and I like the chair and still use it, but it could be so much more. The good:The frame is very well made and the chair operates smoothly. It folds well and I have flown with it 4 times with no issues (but only after some gymnastics with the Joystick). It is very solidly built and the electronics work well. The Bad:1. The frame wore holes through he canvas seat bottom after 3 months. This is an obvious design flaw as the canvas seat bottom rests on sharp edges from the frame. When I tried to get this fixed I was told that the seat only has a 3 month(!) warranty. I was told the chair had a 2 year warranty except for electronics.2. The Joystick is not removable and sticks out when the chair is folded. I won't even put it in my trunk that way, let alone let the airlines at it. I unmount the joystick and fold it in the seat when I travel. This has worked well so far.3. the Chair comes with a battery that says it is not approved for airline travel. The Airline approved battery is another $650. This is inexcusable IMHO for a travel wheelchair.4. The range on the airline battery is about 2 miles in a board flat city (New Orleans). Not enough for a full day.5. The battery charger takes hours to charge. Much longer than the battery lasts when used. When I travel I bring the charger with me and plug it in every chance I get, but I've still had to take buses or Taxis back to the hotel because I cannot risk the thing shutting down on me.6. The rear tires are pneumatic for some reason. I have been stranded twice with flat tires.7. The seat is not comfortable. You can feel the metal bars underneath through the padding. I added a cussion shortly after buying.

Small bump is epic fail
I have a Pride Mobility Sport Titanium and up until today it has been great. Today I was trying to get into a close confined elevator and hit the side. No big right.... No big, for reasons I can't yet understand the wheel that hit... Won't turn any more. I wasn't going fast. The hit wasn't that remarkable.... Yet here I am with basically a huge paperweight. Very bummed.
