De Dietrich DPI7670W 65cm Induction Hob - White

We owned our hob for three years (just out of warranty obviously!) it suddenly fills our kitchen with smoke. De Dietrich customer service say it’s our fault that we didn’t leave ventilation at the front. Our Kitchen designer and two engineers both said there was plenty of ventilation at the back. I was sent to the company that would repair if it was in warranty and I asked them to say whether the hob had been correctly fitted and they refused. We had already bought a replacement as didn’t want to wreck our worktop but now have no idea if the first hob was faulty or if we haven’t installed it correctly and it might melt again. So unimpressed, would expect a £750 hob to last years!
