This product needs a redesign
I want to go on record and say that I do not have a working knowledge of tools. With that said, I expected that a blade would have been preloaded in the device for quick use. This wasn't the case, the utility knife is not loaded with a blade, the consumer is expected to load the blade into the device. However, this is in itself a major problem. The package itself does not come with instructions how to load the utility knife. I had to go online and learn how to load the blade into the utility knife.I originally thought I was supposed to screw open the device and insert the blade that way, but that isn't the case. You are supposed to hold the blade and slide it into the front of the utility knife and hope that it settles into alignment. I had to attempt to successfully load the blade over 4 times before it finally clicked into place. This device needs a serious redesign, requiring people to hold a blade and force it into the proper position puts the users at risk of injury. I give this utility knife a 4/5 because it is very sturdy and its ease of holding. However, if you cannot get the blade to properly load into the mechanism you will not be able to use the device at all.Use extreme caution when attempting to load the blade into the device.

Just wanted a quality razor knife.
Have a lot of X-acto's and cheapie razor knifes. Wanted a good one for upcoming work. Easy to change blades, and stays extended or retracted. Would recommend!

JUNK
WORSE KNIFE I HAVE EVER OWNED . TRYING TO CHANGE BLADES WAS NOT EASY . EMBARRASSED FOR CRAFTSMANS NAME ON THIS KNIFE. Just hope you never have to change blade . THIS KNIFE IS THE WORSE DESIGN EVER .

A little clunky until you get used to it...
This is a good, basic utility knife... a little clunky to load until one gets the hang of it, but a good performer.

Not Traditional
This box cutter was a bit difficult for me to set up. I had to read the reviews to figure out how to insert a blade. The blades are slick and sharp, so be careful when handling them. Easy to hold and effectively opens boxes.

Great Utility Knife (Made in USA!!!!)
Great knife, easy to hold, and find. Love that it's made in the USA. When you need a new blade take old blade out by squeezing black button near tip and pull blade out. Get new blade out of cartridge at bottom knife. Then, press and hold button on tip and insert new blade in and then slight hook up so indent on knife catch. That's it.

This utility knife gets the job done. It cuts through cardboard like butter

Absolute crap
There’s a big made in USA stamp on the side, but if this is the kind of junk being produced, give me something from China anytime. It’s a beautiful looking knife. Seems great until you try to put a blade in the design is such that it is ridiculously difficult to reassemble, although there is only one screw to put in place. After five minutes of trying to put it together, I am sending it back unassembled and in a bag. Terrible design.

Not very durable
Dropped the knife a couple times and the storage compartment for the blades comes loose every now and again.

Setup is terrible
Had to go to youtube to figure out how to load this thing because there are no instructions on it. My knife was all messed up, couldn't install blade regularly. Had to open the entire knife to add blade. Once its in it works fine for a 10$ knife

Terrible Design
Dangerous and difficult to install, with zero instruction. Could have a better design, and blades should be pre-installed.
