Realistic bike ride
Arrived today after much deliberation of whether to get a turbo or a spinner. Plumped for this as thought the turbo I tried was too noisy and the hassle of fetching the bike in and out of the shed.To the bike itself, took a few minutes to assemble, basic frame needs front and rear feet attached, saddle post and handlebar post and then saddle and handlebars themselves. Attachment for bike computer is a little untidy with a welded piece of metal fixing to slide onto. The fixings on the seat post and handlebars provides some strong support to help feel sturdy. The whole bike assembled looks really good and solidly built, which was another big selling point for me, as I destroyed my old exercise bike now I'm getting stronger and have a much higher cadence. Having looked at the cheaper versions and some more expensive versions the cranks on this bike looked sturdy, and having now used it, can confirm they are really strong. I have opted to stick clip in pedals on for better power, as the pedals that come with it, although a suitable option for most, are quite heavy. I have them on hand for when the wife and kids want to use it though. The ride itself is very realistic to riding outdoors on a full racing bike. I was concerned in the photo that the handlebars looked very wide, but are in fact perfect, offering three positions to ride. The resistance is superb, and I opt to ride along to YouTube training films, and a quick turn on the wheel and you really simulate going uphill and get the same feeling in your legs as when you hit those 8% gradients and upwards!! Which as I'm in training for the Etape du Tour this year in the Alps, is perfect for me. The bike computer is simple, and scans through speed, distance, calories, time and total distance. The built in pulse sensor seems ok, although I couldn't figure out a first why is wasn't working before I figured out there was a thin blue plastic film covering the sensors!!I will probably attach a garmin cadence sensor on the crank and use my Edge 500 as I'm more interested in rpm than speed indoors. This bike was £60 cheaper than the other one on my radar and at the time didn't have any reviews, so I'm very glad I took the risk and why I'm writing a review for it, as I would definitely recommend this bike, and is a lot cheaper than most, but I can't see why you would pay more, when this one is so good. The only question I can't answer is on its durability, but it is built solid and sturdy and handled my first session on it easily. It is also nice and quiet, it is not silent, as there is some noise from the foam pad used as the resistance on the fly wheel, but nothing to worry about and my family upstairs didn't even know if been on it, so won't annoy them or the neighbours. One gripe is the saddle is tilted down at the front and I haven't figured out how to adjust it yet, but it was very comfortable for an hour session and if it wasn't for slipping forward a few times, I wouldn't even of noticed it as an issue.I would highly recommend

Great For The Money
This is a good bike for the money. It's very sturdy and feels well manufactured. It was very easy to put together and I'm not always the best at building flat pack type stuff. The instructions were actually fairly clear. Good range of riding positions and adjustability mean you have enough options to get a good position. The only drawback is the seat is uncomfortable but that can be sorted via a seat cover it even another saddle. Overall I think this is a good product. Delivery was very fast as well it even arrived two days early.

Fantastic!!
Fantastic !!! solid as they come, does what it is supposed to do. Cant fault this bike at all, helping me recover after my knee operation at the moment. One reviewer said it squealed, some people !! yes it will do that if left for a short time as it gathers dust on the wheel. So use some of that stuff called ( furniture polish ) spray it onto the outer edge of the wheel , take a cloth and wipe the wheel turning it slowly with your hand removing any grease / dust / from the wheel , BINGO !! no squealing . This bike is built to last for years , its called confidence for a reason.

After a year of having it the pedal fell off ...
After a year of having it the pedal fell off from the arm. Not sure it was ever on properly in the first place but didn't notice. Cannot use this cutrently. Finish is rough and you can tell it is budget made. The bike was very noisy. For a cheep and cheerful bike it is OK but in hind sight I should have spent a but more to ensure this lasted. Customer service I used in the first year under warranty and they were helpful and replaced the screen immediately when I had a problem.

Excellent bike.
Considering the price range - the bike is really nice and I'm happy with my purchase. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the delivery - the courier was quite rude and refused to bring the parcel upstairs saying it was too heavy and asking me to come downstairs and get it myself.

Poorly manufactured and assembled.
Build: The handle bars wobbled from side to side, because the locking screws would not lock the main shaft when tightened. To fix this, the liner had to be removed and drilled out. Squealed like a pig until the flywheel was aligned properly. The plastic caps kept falling out of the feet because they were not glued in.Design: The counter unit is a last century abomination. Un-illuminated, black on grey, LCD; Changes stat every few seconds, you usually miss what you are looking for.Really, not worth the price. If you do buy this, be prepared to fix it.
