Can you take out stock sights with this tool?

You need a Glock front sight wrench to remove the front sight (it's a 3/16" hex screw but the wall of the wrench must be very thin).  I bought one of these as a much cheaper alternative to the Glock wrench: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O5ILUM/ref=pe_852110_120230700_em_1p_0_tiAs for the rear sight, I would not recommend using the Glock Disassembly Tool.  I believe that its intended use is a pin punch or to take magazines apart.  I bought an expensive Glock sight adjustment tool (http://www.amazon.com/Glock-17-Or-Tool-Set/dp/B0037WCTZW/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1406439996&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=maryland+gun+works) that works very well but in hindsight a brass punch (http://www.amazon.com/Starrett-B565G-Overall-Length-Diameter/dp/B004124ETG/ref=cm_rdp_product) would have worked for a lot less money.  The tool does allow you to very easily and accurately adjust the rear sight but if you're just wanting to put new sights on, I wouldn't bother with the tool.

Is the tool all metal? Or does it have a plastic handle?

Mine which arrived March 2015- black metal punch, in black plastic handle...just tossing this in as a few years have gone by since the last input on these and there appears to be some inconsistancy

Can I use this tool to take a base plate off the magazine?

Yes, as others have stated and videos show...as of March 2015 I would say what others have said as well...the first few times you remove the baseplate it is going to be REALLY tight.  Fortuitously you only need to do this occasionally such as after wading through muck, every 800 rounds or so...or if you are shooting dirty ammo sooner.Look at the base plate carefully, on the magizine side of the slide, on each side you will see a little clip that fits into an indentation of the base plate...that is what is holding you back...if you thing this tool can be used to pry it forward...DO NOT.  It will depress the button in yes, but it is not strong enough to use as a pry bar.
