CasioG-Shock GAB2100CT-5A The Natural Coexist Series Khaki Gray

I've been waiting a while for this watch. Not the exact model, but these features that just happen to be the "tough solar". This G-shock is solar powered with an incredibly long lasting battery. It also has Bluetooth capabilities so it can communicate with your phone and the Casio app to perform certain basic tasks. It syncs the time, you can set alarms and do a few other things.This watch, the Khaki has a really nice strap. Not the "cheap looking", in my opinion, default plastic ones found on most G-shocks, unless you buy metal or much more expensive models. This strap is soft, kind of like canvas. Not sure what it's actually made of it, but it's incredibly comfortable. Nothing like plastic. The watch is insanely light. It's the only watch I've ever owned that I forget I'm wearing it. [I generally prefer mechanical watches.] Which with it's size, is kind of even more incredible. It's not huge or anything, but G-shocks are generally not tiny watches. This one is probably a little smaller than some of the other models.To me, I think this is the perfect every day use G-Shock. The price is about right for a very comfortable, slightly more stylish than default version with just the right features. You can buy a zillion different G-Shocks, which I think is great. But to me, THIS was the one I wanted and had been waiting for.As for negatives... There are two Casio apps atm. One is being discontinued. I installed the wrong one, then got the message that it's going away. So, I then installed the right one. The old one, is G-Shock specific. The new one appears to be designed to work with all Casio watches. I think I would have preferred the other way around, but it's not a big deal. It works, and that's what is important. Other than that, maybe the crystal. I believe it's mineral crystal, which I'm afraid will eventually scratch. If it were sapphire crystal, that might be better. Of course, that would increase the price. The alarm isn't too loud, which is understandable. Not a big deal to me. That's as much nit picking as I can do.Overall, worth the money. In my opinion.

I have a few 2100’s and this one definitely looks different compared from the rest (in a good way). I am a huge fan of the canvas strap, but the strap is a little longer compare to the standard resin strap. I have a 7.5in wrist and it fits perfect, and it’s more comfortable than the standard g shock 2100. The GAB2100CT-5A looks way better in person this watch is an easy 5 star.

This review is for the Casio GAB2100CT-5A. The "Casioak" watches are sweet. They're not as chunky or garish as some of the other models. It's like a G-Shock square without the dad vibes. This is the real "field watch" for the 21st century.The Good: I love the color. The colors are like less-saturated versions coyote brown (case) and khaki (strap). The face is brown. The analog-digital functionality is great. The cloth strap is very comfortable and the whole watch is very light.The Bad: The hour and minute markers are impossible to read in low light. In a dark room it's just brown on brown on brown. (Never mind at night.) Only the hands have lume and they only really work when you come in from outside, and only for a like half an hour. To use the Bluetooth you need to download an app and create an account to use. I didn't bother and just set the time manually. It does not have the multiband radio time sync. (Which is why in the picture, the Casioak is a couple of seconds off from the Square and Lineage.)To remedy the readability issue, I ordered replacement hands and hour markers that are not brown and have name brand lume applied to them. Note that to change the hour markers on the GA-"B" models, you have to press out the glass which uses a special tool. (The indices and chapter ring on the GA battery models comes out with the module.)

The watch seemed nice, other than it was the wrong color.I tried to exchange it for the right color, but they couldn't be bothered to send it for 2 more months.Since then, price has changed and no chance to get it.

I like the functions and style of the watch. However, the band is pretty stiff. I didn’t like how it felt off the bat; it’s possible it will break in overtime, but I preferred the cordura band from another model to this one.
