HushMat 10200 Door Sound-Deadening Kit with Stealth Black Foil, 10 Square Feet

I used this in my 2008 Chevy Colorado door panel to stop rattling that would come with intense bass. I installed HushMat in all of my truck doors and focused most of it on the two front doors. Not only did it stop the rattle but it also brought stronger and louder bass. I have also noticed it's now more quiet when driving.The product is very easy to use and only needs scissors to cut the product into the size that you need. It sticks very well but still can be moved around without much struggle. I have also used Boom Mat Spray-On (here:http://www.amazon.com/DEI-050220-Boom-Mat-Spray-on/dp/B001URKV0G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429488041&sr=8-1&keywords=soundproofing+spray) to help in corners where HushMat couldn't reach and also as a top coat over the hushmat behind the speakers and it did well.If you are wanting to improve your sound or looking to reduce road noise this is the product to use!!

Its easy to apply not too sticky and you dont have to prep the area. You do need to use a bit of common sense and wipe down the area but it doesnt have to be spotless. I used it in about 65 degree weather and it was prefect. However, if its in the 90 + it may be too sticky to work with. I had a slight door rattle that did go away after the install.

I have researched products like this one for a very long time. I kept coming back to HushMat. What really made me happy is it's made here in the USA.So I finally bit the bullet and ordered the 10-piece door kit. I didn't want to start with the doors, as I wasn't sure how hard it would be to take my vehicle apart, clean it out, and apply this. I wanted to do the floor in my SUV, in the back hatch area. I thought this sized package would cover just that area and it would be a good "test". Test for me, and the product.This package came super quickly to me, and I practically ripped the box open in excitement. It has a metal backing, and the material itself is super sticky. I pulled the panels and the pieces out of the SUV, and vacuumed up all the random stuff that had accumulated back there. Directions said no need to clean/prep.. but I did pull out a household cleaner and wiped everything down anyway to give it a nice clean surface to adhere to.Install was pretty easy. Laid it out all out how I wanted it.. snapped a picture so I'd remember.. and got to it. Very flexible stuff, it just conformed to everything. I did use a roller to make sure it got on everything, but I am sure a tennis ball could do the same. No smell to the product at all.What took the longest was dis-assembly of the back, cleaning, and re-assembly. 2-3 hours for the back floor. It was a success, and have already ordered a large kit to finish the floor, then on to doors. Very excited for that to come. :-)

I had used this product in my last vehicle as part of a $7K sound system. I used double thickness in all four doors and also covered the floor of the vehicle under the carpet. It really does make a tremendous difference. My recent use was for my new dishwasher. Despite being one of the quietest dishwashers on the market, it was still a little loud for my tastes. I covered the sides, back, and top of the drum, and took apart the door and lined the door with it as well. Much quieter.

Product was excellent! Good sound dampening and no odor!( Health is very important) HOWEVER! Some of the mats seems to be stale. They were harden and could not be separated from the paper ... I had to through away one of them and for those I used I worry about how long do they last.

Excellent for getting rid of the tininess in my forester doors. I installed this to help quiet my car down and improve the sound of the stereo. I would say that it worked perfectly. The doors have a nice thud now and along with a lot of other sound deadening, my car is 68-70 do at 70mph. I'm a happy camper. BTW this stuff sticks like nothing else, I used two square feet per inner door skin. Great for this type of use. I need a few more squares in order to do my front and rear fenders.

Good stuff. On my application, I used it on the back side of the inside of the door, as well as the front side inside, if that makes sense, so one pack wasn't enough. I ended up buying trunk packs and cutting them to finish the doors and everywhere else. If doing it again, I would have started there, and skipped this pack.

This stuff works very well. Not only did it improve the fullness of sound, it also deadens road noise. For me, it seemed easier to apply than Dynamat Xtreme.
