Works Great! Tactile response is perfect. Perfect for entering grades for my students!
When it comes time for entering grades, the program my district uses does not allow tabbing between fields so I need to click on the field with my mouse to select it and then I can enter a number. That means I am using my right hand for the mouse and my left for the numbers. On a regular keyboard the numeric keypad is on the right, making me reach to the far right with my left hand (I alternate between text and numeric entry, making moving the keyboard to the left more awkward). This does exactly what I need by putting the numeric keypad on the left side of the keyboard. I imagine that is great for left-handed people as well!Obviously, when I use my laptop, which is often, having a numeric keyboard is a huge advantage rather than having to use only the numeric keys above the letters. I really should have bought this years ago: I would have had a much easier time entering grades!

Bad keys hold back a decent design
TL;DR - the keys themselves are not nice to use, give poor feedback, and are prone to missing you pressing down on them. I am in excel much of my workday and it happens too often for this to be useful.I work in Excel much of my day, and with a 14in work laptop that doesn't have it's own numpad it is really nice to have an external version with the keys you need to get to quickly for formulas (=, ( ), +, -, /, *, enter, etc.) so this keypad seems ideal in it's design.Unfortunately the keys are of poor quality and require you to press straight down in the middle of them to register a key entry and don't provide any feedback, so you don't know you've missed an entry unless it doesn't show up on the screen. For the price I don't mind it being corded, but if you use the numpad regularly, just invest an extra 10-15 dollars and buy a quality numpad that will probably provide a wireless option and mechanical keys.

Serviceable Numeric Keypad
I bought this numeric keypad to use with my Surface Pro, which has an attachable keyboard that lacks the numeric keys I often need. I was eager to test it, and it works fairly well, but it also has some drawbacks for me.I like the layout of the number keys and the handy arrow keys. The keys are big enough and well-spaced for my needs, and it was simple to use as soon as I plugged it in.I don't like the long cord, but it might be useful if I wanted to use this for my computer in my office and had to connect it to the laptop on the opposite side of my desk. The keypad functions well in most situations, but sometimes when I press the = key, the selection jumps ahead a few cells, which is very annoying. This only happens in certain applications, but it is irritating to switch back and forth between the keyboard and the keypad to press = and then use other numbers. In these same applications, the enter key does not work either, so I have to go back to the keyboard for that too.I think this is a decent keypad for general use. It works great in Excel and other Microsoft programs. However, I ran into the two problems I mentioned on some websites and applications.

Just in time for Tax Season this is just what I needed
Am a Mac user with the Magic Keyboard, this accessory is just what I wanted. I don't leave it set up all the time, but only pull it out when needed. Its wired connection is perfect for quickly attaching and removing it without having to worry about wireless connections. The keyboard sits at the same level as the low profile Magic Keyboard. The only real drawback is that it's a somewhat lower quality plastic than the aluminum Apple keyboard, but that is to be expected.I would recommend.

not for gaming (roblox)
I thought that this mini numpad was going to work for me when I played my game but it didn't. it doesn't move up and down as it should for the game I meant to use it for which was in this case roblox.
