Lands' EndMen's Classic Squall Waterproof Insulated Jacket

I got this jacket for my partner.He loves it. It fits him perfectly and it looks great.High quality too!Love it!

I really like this jacket. There is a very wind-resistant shell and a thin layer of fleecy insulation inside. Elastic cuffs and hem complement the air tight shell to deliver a warm environment for your upper body. I cannot find a flaw in this jacket, I think it will last.

I finally replaced my well-loved Lands End jacket of 20 years with this new version of the same thing. Overall, it compares reasonably well to its fabulous predecessor with some minor changes that are inferior to the original. The interior pocket used to be vertical and deep - perfect for a cel phone; the new one is shallow and slanted - no good for a cel. The zipper pull tab is certainly adequate but smaller and 'cheaper' than the more substantial one I'm used to. The only reason I rated this new jacket less than 5 stars is because it is not quite as good as its predecessor. They changed a couple things (not for the better) that did not need to be changed but it is still a good jacket.

I'm a Gen Xer and fondly remember my first squall type jacket. I think mine may have been an LLBean, can't remember. I do remember loving that thing. To school, check. To Church, check. Shoveling snow, check. Skiing, check. I did everything in it and it functioned well. So, I wanted the same and this jacket (coat) fit the bill. The price is dirt cheap. the look isn't exactly what I remember, but 95% or more there. This seems thicker than the one I had too, which is better for me. It fits well and functions even better. In fact, I think I may get a second color too. Black for office wear and maybe green for around town. I typically wear a large and the large fit, but was a little slim, especially over a sweatshirt. So, I went with the XL. It is a lot more comfortable and has more room to move (read shovel).

Exactly like what I had years ago. Best mid-weight on the market. Only issue is the small "Lands End" patch on the sleeve. Free advertising I guess, but not necessary.

Poor quality for the price.

I think this jacket is perfect, color, fit and quality. I was worried about sizing but Amazon allowed free returns, so the risk was gone.
