Good Value for the Money
We have a ton of baseboard heaters all over our home. We had our HVAC system fully redone so the thermostats for the baseboard heaters are no longer needed, but we wanted them to be more aesthetically pleasing than the old, dingy, dial-style ones we had. I bought a bunch of these in bulk, and they work great. Electrician had no problems putting in the first one, and after watching him I am confident that I can do the rest. He did a four-wire installation by capping a line and load, then connecting the remaining line and load to the unit's two wires. Since the units aren't programmable, we just leave them on 40 degrees. That way if the HVAC was to ever fail, the baseboard heat would kick in and keep the pipes from freezing.Overall, for the price I paid, I am pleased. If you having a hard time finding electric baseboard heater/radiant heater thermostats and you don't need programming or any other fancy features, this is a very good, affordable option.

Super simple operation
We are just about through our first whole winter with these thermostats. These units are dirt simple, Just two wires, and two buttons. You never really turn them “Off” you just turn the set-temp down low enough that they wont activate, and honestly, if you set them down at 50 degrees, you might want them to turn on anyways!Installation: These WILL NOT work with a traditional forced air heater, these are designed for line-voltage heating systems, baseboards, heated floors, heated ceilings. Any 220-240 volt direct heating element. On amazon, there are a few different Honeywell line voltage thermostats, however, on the Honeywell site, it looks like the 1000 and 2000watt thermostats are no longer in production? That said, make sure and confirm the voltage and load rating of your heating element before purchasing. In my house, I have some rooms ranging form 500 watts to 5000 watts. Each rooms needs to be measured. If your heating element is not labeled, and you do not know how to operate an ohmmeter, I would recommend engaging an electrician or HVAC tech to ensure proper thermostat sizing. My house has heated ceilings (because heat falls, right?!!!), because of this, my bedrooms are between 1600 and 2300 watts per room. Installation was very easy. Starting with turning off the heating circuit, and then confirming the lines are dead, removing the old analog thermostats was scary. Lets just say they were due for replacement! Some of the old thermostats were “double pole” so both legs were switched on and off. This thermostat is “single pole” so one load leg needs to be wire capped to a line wire, then the other line and load wires are connected to the thermostat. This thermostat is roughly the size of a two-gang switch box, and because of this, it offers two mounting locations. There are no screw holes in the center of the thermostat, they are offset to the left or right.Overall, operation is super simple, Temperature up, or temperature down, that’s it! As mentioned in other reviews, yet not mentioned anywhere in the description, or in the manual, this unit can vary the heat output. Instead of a snap-action on-off for the heat, it will fade off the heat as you approach the selected temperature. This helps with not over-shooting the desired temperature when turning off. Overall, it keeps the rooms very close to the set temp and seems very accurate. We have been running these for one whole winter so far with zero issues. They are FAR superior to the old analog thermostats for temperature control and comfort. Because of the tighter temperature control, we are able to run a slightly lower, but more consistent temperature, thus lowering our electric bill.I am very pleased with these and will be buying more now that they’ve proven themselves in the bedrooms.

Standard mounting screws are no fun!
The unit itself looks great - and will probably work well when installation is complete. However, the supplied screws used to mount the unit into the electrical box - are very, very long - and the heads are for a flat-head screwdriver. These are pretty much universally supplied. BUT - it would be SO much nicer - and FASTER - if Honeywell supplied Allen-head fasteners! The Allen wrench would stay centered - the screw would adhere to the wrench - and the screw could easily be guided into place and tightened.

Easy Installation, screws - not so good.
Have used Honeywell Non-Programmable Line Voltage Thermostats for over 10 years with nary a failure! Finally replaced the remaining two older, mechanical thermostats with these electronic ones. Simple two wire connection. Had one that installed into an older metal box and the provided mounting screws were W-A-A-Y too long and much too soft. Stripped the heads instantly so if you face the same dilemma, just use the OLD, American STEEL screws and "no problem"! Quiet, energy efficient, and an easy installation: What's not to like? And with the current cost of baseboard electric heat PLUS the current single digit temps and blizzards (SW Lake Michigan shoreline), should save a few bucks on the utility bill. The older ones leave a faint smudge above the heat sink vents but it washes off easily and is only noticeable to my fly-speck, nit picking wife! Will keep my review updated on any longevity issues that might occur.

Easy to install and keeps the room temperature consistent.
Follow the instructions and you will have no issues installing. Keeps the room temperature where you set it.

Love the simplicity
I've slowly been replacing the electric baseboard thermostats throughout my house and I've purchased a couple programmable ones with a bunch of these honeywell ones. I love the simplicity of this unit. You don't need to read anything, there's just an up and down button to adjust the temperature. It has a nice backlight, and you don't have to do anything goofy like hold buttons to change the temperature. These have a small but easy to ready display that also shows how much heat they are outputting. Rather than just being on or off when needed, this one will turn the heater on at different levels depending on the need. For example it might be on at 20% to maintain the temperature. This makes the room feel more consistent rather than having the heat on full blast and then off for a while. For whatever reason the price of this will thermostat will differ greatly. They are regularly around 10-15 dollars (late 2023). If you see the price of this above that, just wait a little while and it will likely come back down to that range. I've seen it go all the way up to 40 bucks.

Not what was pictured
Didn't receive the thermostat pictured.,.similar item number...but doesn't match the ones I already have installed. They are cheaper and have plastic buttons rather than the rubber of the one in the image...they did work...seem to heat up when touched

Very Accurate for baseboard heaters
They keep the at a very steady temperature. With the temp set at 18.5C the room temp does not go below 18C and not above 19C. My old thermostats had a 5C range between turning on and shutting off. I got one of these to try and after using for 2 months I bought 3 more.

Good, I recommend
I use it on 120V and it works fine. If you use it on 120V you need to half the max wattages so 1500w max at 120V. You can adjust Celsius or Fahrenheit on the circuit board. I have nothing bad to say about this thermostat.

Semble fiable
