Q: Is this too much brush for my chihuahua mix. Sheds but I think she has such a deep undercoat

it would work its now overly large but you would have to be gental on the brushing part. even our big dogs we make sure we are gental. we have even used it on our short hair bloodhounds but it brings out a small dog size pile of hair off of the german shepperds.. we recommend it to everyone we know that has dogs.

Q: Is this brush ok to use on Shih Tsu’s ? The groomer says it may have a blade in it, does it?

This has no blades, it just combs the loose fur and undercoat. It's not like a furminator, which has blades. It's awesome! My aussie loves it and it eliminates fur in the house and car. I brought it to the dogpark to show other dog owners and now almost every pet parent there owns one. You will not be disappointed!

Q: The description says 9 nestles blades cut through mats but users say it doesn't cut the hair. Which is it?

It breaks through them but doesn’t cut the hair. I really don’t recommend this product I didn’t return it but will not recommend it. I have a better comb for my gsd. I only got this one because my son recommended it.
