This is a really good investment for leisurely reading or (like me) using it for studies. NRSV version I find the most understandable vocabulary while still being accurate to other versions such as the KJV

This short review is not on the contents of the book....its the NRSV Bible with apocrypha. Assuming that you are seeking that particular translation then that is what you get between the covers.However, just to let folks know that the internal pages of this book are identical to the SPCK edition (currently a bit cheaper, with a nicer cover and with ribbons). By this I mean identical: same page numbers, same contents in every way.The paper is a bit cheap, but its a modestly priced Bible - fair enough. It appears to be a sewn binding and to be honest, its OK. However, the SPCK feels nicer to me!oh...this does include some references in the centre of each page, but they are fairly scant and you dont get quite as many as you might be expecting, so dont buy this for the reference section.

Good quality paper and sturdy book. Would have liked a more durable cover or slip cover for this book which will be much handled

It was time I had a modern edition and the bible arrived in time for my reading on the following Sunday. The paper is thin so ,as I found, you have to be careful not to turn two pages at once!

The Bible is as I expected except for the paper cover which is marked. Disappointed, but as it's for my use not worth the bother returning.

Just the version of the Bible I wanted and needed. After attending an Alpha course I wanted a version that held cross referencing and this does just that. Very good value and delivery.
