I’m very happy with the guitar.
I was a bit nervous about buying a guitar without being able to play it (the local shops did not stock it). But I have two other Godin guitars and love them so I wasn’t too concerned. The guitar was shipped in a very nice gig bag (see photos) and arrived in perfect condition. The guitar has a beautiful finish and all the knobs/switches have a quality feel. The tremolo bar is the screw-in type and once installed, it stays right where you want it, works well, and the guitar stays in tune (I did have to be careful to avoid cross threading when installing it). The guitar was set up at the factory just the way I like it and even came with the factory final inspection tag. I really enjoy the variety of sounds the guitar can produce. It’s a keeper.

Beautiful guitar, but where's the manual?
Shipped extremely fast, came next day, the week before Xmas no less! Extremely well made and playable guitar, which will go well with my Roland GP 10 guitar synth. But where's the manual? (I know i can find it online, but it's nice to have a real manual to flip through. Maybe it's in the box somewhere, but i cant find it!

Beautiful guitar, but defective out of the box
The media could not be loaded. Haven't gotten so far as to plug it in, but that's a discussion for a different day. This Godin is beautiful. The finish, solid-feel, neck, action...all top-notch.What was incredibly disappointing is whoever did the QA for this particular guitar failed. The center single-coil was not even screwed into the body. It was floating in the hole cut for the pickup (see photo & video). I've bought guitars for $200 that had all the electronics appropriately anchored to the body, and this guitar did not. The guitar was pretty much in tune out of the box, so I can't even attribute this to vibration, or anything related to shipping. I can only assume this was a QA fail (I've also attached QA review tag).

one of the finest guitars I've ever played
I've owned and played many guitars over the years. The Godin XTSA is, for the price, one of the finest guitars I've ever played. In addition to the fact that the guitar is gorgeous, well balanced, and has incredible tone, Godin has included all the bells and whistles as far as electronics go. There are three outputs: one for electric humbuckers only; one for 13-pin synth; and one for a mix. The mix makes not only the electric humbuckers available, but also the acoustic-emulating bridge pickups. This allows you to switch between electric guitar sound (with a 5-way switch), and a fantastic acoustic guitar sound that's hardly even noticeable as an electric - with a built-in preamp to control volume, bass, mid, and treble for the acoustic pickups. There are two toggle switches as well. One for switching between output mixes, and another that's programmable to cycle through your synth sound bank. The Godin XTSA, as ordered from Amazon, comes strung (with light strings - 10s), it comes packaged neatly in a very nice travel gig bag (and also in a box). It has locking tuners and a very nice tremelo (whammy) bar. It comes with Allen wrenches as well, which are required for the truss rod and other maintenance. And the truss rod is easily found and adjustable (I adjusted mine downward immediately, just slightly, for faster fingerboard action).Again, for the price, this is about as good as it gets. Did I mention that it's gorgeous? Couldn't be happier.

Awesome guitar but some GR-55 patches are noisy that are not noisy on GK-3 guitar
I have to begin by thanking my truly awesome wife for buying me this awesome guitar. It looks like a work of art and although I wanted to buy it for myself she knew I would always put other things first. Love that woman! !! First, I liked the three separate output jacks, the action is low and really good and it sounds amazing. I love that I can just plug into my GR-55 and not worry about the pickup cable getting in my way like it does on my guitar with the attached GK-3 pickup assembly. The guitar looks amazing and arrived in pristine condition. Unfortunately, some patches are noisy with this guitar that are not noisy on my GK-3 equipped guitar. This then requires trying to silence strings from ringing that are only ringing from guitar vibration. I saw a review on YouTube where this issue was mentioned but thought the reviewer had fat fingered the strings. Sadly, that does not appear to be the case. I have decided to use the other guitar when necessary but this is going to be used for most GR-55 playing.
