Bad Habit (Bad Love Book 1)

Bad Habit
An amazing book to kick off 2023! Asher is both equally bruised and broken and this shows throughout the book, playing a huge part within the plot. There are some aspects that definitely aren't for the faint of heart, so just a warning there, but I literally devoured this book and cannot wait to see what's next in the series.

LOVED THIS STORY BUT..............
I loved this story but I was annoyed that it finished so quickly around 91% of my kindle so hence my reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5! I think it's always a problem when it comes to the ending of a book as either it goes on for too long or it is cut short and I think getting the right balance is difficult. Yes it had an epilogue which I always want in my books but I felt it was a bit rushed at the end even though I did love the ending. The bad boy character Asher Kelley is just the kind of character I love to read about in my books, on the surface he's cold, mean and has the angst vibe going on with him but underneath and especially when he's with Briar his softer side comes out which I loved. He is the best friend of Briar's brother Dash (love the names) and he doesn't know that Asher and Briar have a thing for each other, and it begins quite young when Briar is only 14 years old. I loved all the drama surrounding their relationship and the sex is amazing between them and well written by the author and I loved how jealous Asher could get if any guy was around Briar. It was great when he turned up at the fund raising event her family had organised as things got very hot! I don't like cheesy dialogue used to describe sex like 'come for me' which a lot of authors use but this author gets it just right. I loved the other characters in this book too, Natalie, Adrian, Dash, Dare and even Jackson and Whitely who are not such nice characters and I would be interested to see another few stories about any of them so here's hoping.

The Bad Habit you wont want to kick!
Oh my good god. What a story. Charleigh Rose came in like a tidal wave and swept me away with her words. I've not read any of her books before and I'm currently wondering if I am crazy for having not.Forbidden love, betrayal, anger all meshed together to make one hell of a book. I was drawn in my the blurb and once I started I couldnt stop. Asher, beautifully broken bad boy with a grudge. I fell hard for his character. Briar the delicate heart with a rebellious streak. She was just so likeable, I don't always connect or get on with female characyers but I was completely invested in hers and Asher's story.Flawless dual pov and fully fleshed out characters that seemed so real. Not perfect by any means but where's the fun in that? The sex was hotter than hell in summer and I was fanning myself. Pretty sure the hubs knew exactly what I was smirking at hehe. I picked this book up and the next I knew it was a few hours later and I'd run out of pages. This is a real page turner full of everything I love in a taboo angsty read. I'll be reading more from this author thats for sure!

Really really good young adult
When you begin to read a book that feels like you’ve got front row seats to a good movie at the cinema you know it’s going to be a great read. This is my first book by this author and I must say it really packed a punch! There was no lull in the story line it just kept on going at a steady pace that just held your attention throughout. I did think though that Briar, the female lead, seemed a whole lot older and mature for a 17 year old! But it was a great read and very well written. Will be reading more from this author and glad to see that there will be a book 2 focusing on Dare’s story, can’t wait!

Asher is the best Bad Habit a girl could have!
This is without a doubt my favourite book so far from Charleigh Rose. The characters, the story, the jerkish side of Asher were all perfect.I love a friends to enemies to ? romance especially when it's done right and Bad Habit is done brilliantly. Asher is the man I wanted to hate but I couldn't. I love him! From his anger issues to his sexy taunting banter to the sexy possessiveness, I loved everything about Asher. The connection and history between Asher and his best friends sister Briar helps to up the angst factor and the chemistry between these two is ridiculously hot. Asher infuriated me at times but deep down he's not the total jerk he comes across as.This book is packed full of brilliant characters, Dare, Adrian the sexy mexi, Dash....the list goes on and I admit I'm already desperate for more from these characters and to hear their stories. This is a really good romance complete with troubled bad boy, a girl most of us will be able to relate to and a story that I didn't want to end.
