Amazing
This is no doubt my fav read of the year. The love story is super cheesy , just as I like :P . And I am so in love with the guy, he's actually too good to be real! But then this is what books are all about, they take you someplace else only!In my opinion it is totally worth a shot and it’s pretty easy to read for even the new readers. This is a perfect blend of romance and SPICE ;)

4.75 ⭐ All Hail The King and God of Book Boyfriends ✨ EVAN ZANDERS ✨
Do I think Evan Zanders is the bestestestestestestestest of all the book-boyfriends ever written? YES...Have you ever read a book and thought, 'Man, I'd really like a partner who's exactly like this MC?' (let's be honest, we all lust after Jeremy Volkovs and Aeros but IRL? lol no!)But Evan Zanders? Yes, please. I'd be lucky to have a partner like him. He'd be the mentally stable one with all the healthy communication. Because Evan FREAKING Zanders is the god of book boyfriends. My oh my, this man...>He is sorted enough to understand his vices, flaws, strengths, shortcomings, and feelings. >>Because he actively goes to therapy.>>>And he works on himself.>>>>And is intuitive and puts in active effort to understand his partner's insecurities and give her the reassurance she requires.>>>>>AND pushes her to be her best mentally healthy self.>>>>>>He is also an active advocate for mental health.>>>>>>>All the while being a smirking, funny, absolutely stunning, panty-dropping, badass hockey player.I mean... there's not even a competition.---->End of Evan 'Zee' Zanders Propanganda<-----Coming to the book itself... easily one of the better (dare I say one of the best) organic romances I've ever had the pleasure of reading. My biggest issue with most contemporary stand-alone romances is that they end up feeling very insta-lust/insta-love ish. But Mile High's love story played out nice and slow and, more importantly, believably. Our MMC is Evan Zee Zanders (if you have not yet figured it out by my gushing above). He's a star NFL player and a self-proclaimed playboy. He is also a godfather to his best friend and team player's kids and is an overall sweetheart. Our FMC, Stevie Shay, has just been assigned to be the air hostess to the private jet that Zanders' team uses to go around to their games in the United States. They meet when Stevie tries to do an exit row safety instruction on the flight, and Zanders is in the said exit row.Thankfully, no Insta-lust anywhere! Other than each of them admiring the other's ahem assets almost objectively in an almost passing observation. The story slowly evolves into admiration, then lust, then love. Admittedly, there's an inherently rom-com-esque sequence of serendipitous meetings and trauma-based bonding that is inevitable in a rom-com, but in Mile High, these are actually convincing. Because Stevie works for Zanders' team AND is the twin sister of THE GOAT basketball player of Chicago's NBA team, the meet-cutes that lead the leads hurtling towards the forever kinda love require barely any suspension of disbelief. The whole damn book, I was squealing, blushing, and a giggling mess. I don't generally tend to superimpose myself with MCs, but I found myself really relating to her as an everyday woman who's doing her job and navigating a world where she lives and thrives but sometimes just doesn't fit all the way in! Most of the scenes I teared up in were Stevie's. Hands-down, one of the stronger heroines in the rom-com book verse.Unfortunately, there is a third-act break-up situation that heavily leans towards noble idiocy mixed with a bit of self-doubt. It was also a tad melodramatic for my tastes, with a whole cathartic inspirational speech to the paparazzi. I'm not a fan of any of those. Still, even amidst the tropes that I don't enjoy, the book manages to end just as beautifully as the beginning and the middle.Liz Tomforde truly created 488 pages of romance that feels warm, cozy, and a little bit magical...

Good but a bit draggy
The book has an interesting premise but along the way it drags a bit much and can get repetitive. It could have been made into a 300 pager and then it would be crisp.

A book filled with emotions and understanding people in difficult situations.
Couldn’t able to put the book down untill the last page. The scenes were very normal connected to the daily life with a sports players view and normal girl who has insecurities about her physical apperance.Evan zanders (zee) who is in love with himself the most has panick attacks due to the experience that he faced early in his life and could able to solve it by the end of the book in a very subtle way. The narration between zee and his father was heartmelting. Friendship between madisson’s family and zee was spotless and the madisson’s family supports and understands him makes us to have one such friend.Stevie (vee) who is normal girl and twin sister to famous basketball player (Madisson) is a flight attendant. Maddison showers lot of love and affection towards his sister and will do whatever is possible in his radar. Stevie falls in love with playboy Zee and has their own ups and down . They understand each other so well and would support to overcome each others insecurities with small conversations they would have each other. I fell in love with portrayl of how they met each other and grab the book and immerse urself in love.

Just like I've heard
I actually really really enjoyed this book. I saw this one so much on the internet that I was very eager to read it. Well, Zanders is just a gaint softy and Stevie is perfect for him. I loved their chemistry, witty banter, constant bickering. On the other hand, if this book would have been a bit shorter, the reading could be more enjoyable.

Hockey romance with banter and amazing characters
Mile High is the first book in the Windy City series and it has been on my TBR for so long. I honestly don't know why I've been putting off reading it, because once I started it, I just couldn't put it down. This contemporary hockey romance will take you on an emotional ride, with amazing banter and swoon-worthy moments. We follow the story of Stevie and Zanders. Stevie is a flight attendant for a hockey team that Zanders is a part of. The chemistry between them can be felt from miles away and the banter between them will have you laughing. They do give off a bit of an enemies-to-lovers vibe, but REALLY a little bit. While the MCs are wonderful to read about and getting both POVs was the absolute best, the side characters are also likable. The little moments between Maddison, his wife, and the kids were what I was looking forward to the most. And getting to learn a bit about their story from the conversations was so much fun.Overall, if you haven't read this one yet, you simply need to. This romance felt so mature and hearth-warming that I can confidently say, this will be one of my favorite reads this year.

Great Book! ☺️
I loved this book so much and the characters. Both Zanders & Stevie had their own personal struggles and were hurt by family who were supposed to love them unconditionally. Zanders was just lovely and goofy, and I loved his relationship with Maddison’s family. Stevie was sometimes shy but also so confident and spunky. I loved her attitude and how she finally stood up for herself and put herself first for once. I liked seeing Zanders take control of his life and try to be better to win Stevie back. Can’t wait to read about Indy & Ryan.. should be interesting 😂😬

Mile High is the perfect mix of feels, laughs, and swoony moments
Liz Tomforde’s Mile High is the perfect mix of feels, laughs, and swoony moments that keep you hooked until 3 a.m.Evan Zanders is a total love-hate situation for me. On one hand, he’s dreamy—no red flags, no toxic masculinity, just a sweet, supportive guy who hypes Stevie up, adores her confidence, and takes mental health seriously. But when he hurts her? My heart shattered. But the way he makes up for it? Total swoon. The banter? 🔥 Stevie doesn’t hold back, constantly calling out Zanders’ cocky hockey star attitude, and he matches her energy every time. She’s the team’s flight attendant; he’s the star player. It’s messy, forbidden, and impossible to resist. Add in Stevie’s unapologetic confidence and the way Zanders worships her? Obsessed. It’s not just about the romance either. The mental health rep is handled beautifully—therapy, anxiety, self-doubt—it’s raw, real, and so meaningful.✈️ Enemies-to-Lovers✈️ Workplace Romance✈️ Body Positivity✈️ Mental Health RepAnd the chemistry? Off the charts. Zanders flirts like a pro but always respects Stevie’s boundaries. It’s that perfect balance of sweet and spicy that leaves you melting.Mile High delivers it all: swoony romance, laugh-out-loud moments, emotional depth, and characters you can’t help but love.
