Thick steel, welded gussets at the bases, welded rings for attaching shade sail or awning.Very well made product. These poles can easily support the tension needed to get shade sails pulled taught.Concrete sleeve anchors that seem to be good quality are included. If using them, holes will need to be pre-drilled using an SDS or hammer drill.The only issue I can see is that the black finish is not the best quality. It's not chipping or coming off, but it feels rough and possibly thin. Could probably use a clear coat to seal it and more it more durable.

As you can see, these won’t last long. They’re holding a 11x17 sail and bending severely. I haven’t even started to bring the sail to full tension. Definitely disappointed and would return if I could get the pieces apart. I feel like the company owes me a rebate or something regardless.

The media could not be loaded.  The poles are thinner than I expected press fit! Suggest beating in the poles before you mount it, hard to do it 10 'in the air. Don't think they will hold up to the high wind we get in Texas! Might have to take it down in weather.

My back porch is kind of a "horseshoe" shape, and I wanted to set something up to shade the entire back porch. Installing these (as well as a big sun shade) takes care of the whole back patio.You'll need a drill (preferably a hammer drill) and some masonry bits (if you're not pouring fresh concrete to hold these) to install these. But they are rock solid and should have NO problem doing the job.
