i’ve had a few umbrellas destroyed by philly winds and this one it’s the only one that has survived. so glad they had a pink option. the only thing i don’t like is that it’s very hard to close the umbrella after use. like i have to push it down on the ground to get the handle to retract all the way. almost hurt my wrist when i first tried to push the handle back in. it’s pretty annoying when i’m in public and have to avoid hitting people with my umbrella but i’ll get used to it

I do not know how it works for sun or rain protection, but I used it to hang faeries and birds from it and it works perfect, sturdy and bright colors!!

I liked the idea of an 'upside down' umbrella but wanted to get one with the cloud design underneath, so this fit the bill. The picture is very bright and the umbrella doesn't feel flimsy at all. I also liked that when open, this umbrella is a few inches winder than most travel umbrellas which is good because my last compact umbrella didn't quite cover me and my backpack, but this one does.My favorite part is actually that the button opens AND closes the umbrella. Very convenient. Just be careful when you're opening it because it really moves quick! The umbrella sleeve is great too. It fits tightly around the umbrella and seems waterproof, and I like that it has a zipper. The only thing I don't like about this umbrella is that to fully close it takes a lot of strength and effort, more so than any other umbrella I've ever seen. I can't pull the umbrella down and get it to stay, so I actually have to press down from the top of the umbrella for it to click into place in the base. And because of the way it's made with the auto-open feature, you have to open it from the base every time. You can't just close the top part, leave the handle long, and re-open it; it won't work. But now that I know that I really don't mind, and pushing down on the top of the umbrella to close it isn't really a big deal. I just can't figure out how to 'pull' it closed. Otherwise, it's a really great umbrella especially for the price!

I bought this umbrella for travel to Brazil's Atlantic rainforest for a birding tour. It seemed great at home, but the very first day of the trip that it rained, I used it and at the end of the day when I was closing it to the collapsed state, it broke! Something came loose inside the shaft and it would not close, collapse, or stay open.Of course, since I was traveling outside the country and was nowhere near a big city I couldn't do anything about it. And, the return window closed while I was on trip. (Of course). So, now, waiting to see what, if anything, Amazon can do about this. Amazon says they can make an exception and give me a refund. But, I'm still without an umbrella. Doesn't seem like something that seemed so sturdy and has good reviews should break/malfunction so easily.

It's very hard to open an standing up, very hard to close, I have to put it on a hard surface to shut it all the way down. Was going to return it but I found a way to make it work as I just described!
