The Last Lullaby: Hammarby Book 3

Another excellent book [ you do have to have read the previous 2 in the series to understand the developing plot re the detectives personal lives]. Carin manages again to be creepy and exciting . Its the type of story that actually is a page turner . A woman and her 2 children found stabbed in their beds , a missing police man , hidden truths about childhoods , disinterested fathers, facts that cannot be said , what lurks beneath and how the past will catch up with us one day. There are many coincidences and maybe a sense of being in the wrong place at the wrong time to make this story totally believable yet it had me on the edge of my seat for 2 days .

Good read if you are pining for some Nordic Noir, but you need to read the other two books first or you'll miss out on some important character background. Not a bad ending all things considered, I enjoyed the major development of an already introduced secondary character. I will say one thing (POSSIBLE SPOILER), I can't wait for the author to get on with the ongoing character arcs introduced in the previous two books. I'm frankly rather curious about where she's going with Petra's situation.

Loved this book but gutted now that there are no more of the Hammarby series translated to English.

Thoroughly enjoyable crime thriller and cant wait for the next one.

This author is fantastic, just wish they could translate them into English quicker. Love, love her work

Enjoyed the first 2 books of the trilogy and this one was a great finale while still leaving some threads untied.

Five stars for this book I could have given more if I could these story lines just get better every time hope there is more to follow
