My son is a manufacturing engineer, and frequently needs to 3-D print parts and components to make models for future products that his company will sell.Sometimes those components need modification after having been 3-D printed, and rather than go through the process of RE-printing the modified component, this nifty little repair gun allows him to make some mods on the fly.My son has already used it to fix some parts that were printed to an erroneous spec, and this gun worked great!Having "fixed" the part (enough for testing purposes), my son was able to skip entirely the time-consuming and laborious process of re-printing the faulty piece, and test the "fixed" one as if it had been printed correctly.Wile the "fixed" part was being tested, my son was able to fix the spec and ready the component for re-printing, based on the results of the testing. The testing was successful and he THEN re-printed the component, from the correct spec, and the entire process took a good deal less time. A big win!Recommended!

I didn't know how much I needed this until I got it.So many different ways to repair various plastics and assemblies, auto parts, toys, you name it! The quality was much better than expected, and it heats very quickly.
