Product Description Black & Decker 12v Dustbuster FlexiThe Black & Decker 12 volt Flexi Dustbuster is a hand held vacuum designed to offer flexibility and functionality. It has an integrated hose that extends away from the unit to enable the user to reach all those difficult spots such as reaching high shelves, cleaning blinds and between kitchen units. Traditional corded cleaners can be heavy, impractical and troublesome to maneuver and so cordless technology provides an alternative for many quick clean up jobs. Equipped with a 12v battery, the Dustbuster Flexi can successfully eliminate gathering dust and spillages of all sizes around the home. Powerful Cleaning Powerful and Maneuverable The Black & Decker Dustbuster Flexi comes integrated with a high performance motor in order to provide powerful cleaning performance and efficiency. As well as boasting a powerful performance, the Dustbuster Flexi is designed to be compact and lightweight. The motor is positioned inside the filter which ensures that the product is comfortable to hold and light enough to manoeuvre around during use. Flexible Hose Flexible HoseThe ‘wrap around’ hose is designed to offer a range of options for usage. To operate the vacuum like a traditional hand held unit, the user just leaves the hose and nozzle in the fixed position. But, for additional freedom of movement the user can unclip the nose piece in order to reach high or awkward areas. In addition, they can use the flip-out upholstery brush for additional dust removal on delicate surfaces like lampshades and curtains or the crevice tool for confined spaces such as between kitchen units or car foot wells. Pet Hair Long Reach UsageDesigned with the modern home in mind, the Dustbuster Flexi comes with a number of accessories that facilitate cleaning in every part of your home. Accessories to use include a flip out upholstery brush, a pet tool designed for eliminating pet hair and a long crevice tool to clean in those awkward nooks and crannies. The accessories can also be fitted on to the docking station for convenient storage after use which helps to prevent loss and allows for useful access. Dustbuster Flexi Cyclonic Action and Triple FiltrationCyclonic action and triple filtration allows the unit to be more efficient and maintain suction power for longer. The dust bowl window clearly shows when the unit requires emptying and the filter cleaning system means there is no need to remove the filter for cleaning. Build up of fine dust can be removed from around the filter with a couple of twists of the cleaning wheel avoiding any unnecessary mess when emptying the machine.Black & Decker PD1080 Flexi Vac Dustbuster, 10.8 V Black & Decker Pd1200-GB 12 V Flexi Vac Cordless Dustbuster Black & Decker Pd1800el-GB Flexi Vac 18 V Li-ion Cordless Dustbuster Voltage (V) 10.8 12 18 Power (Air Watts) 20 25 35 Dustbowl Capacity (ml) 500 500 500 Run Time (min) 10 12 10 Box Contains Black&Decker 12v Flexi Dustbuster2 in 1 crevice toolPowered turbo brushLong crevice tool'Clip on' storage caddyInstruction manual

Max bang for bucks.
Firstly this is not a dustbuster, it is much more powerful and can handle most jobs you would normally use a small cylinder vac for, stairs, car interior, general housework and dry spills. It is not a wet and dry model but is powerful enough to use add-ons like the brilliant Morphy Richards SPILLMASTER 70330 (or at least it does for me) you absolutely cannot do this with any dustbuster.Employs the same cyclonic filter system as B&D's "ORB-IT" (which I also use but only as a toy desk vac), only bigger. Easy to empty, no bags BUT no loose flaps, fiddly clips or easily 'gunked up' parts found on other bagless units..... Speaking of which, my Dyson DC31 which it is replacing, lasted 2 months and 6 days before the battery failed completely! The "award winning Dyson customer care" was a shambolic round of buck-passing, outright lies and pitifully transparent attempts to stall until I gave up. After 3 months, I did. So I had to buy a new battery from an independent supplier who is doing a roaring trade in spares for these flimsy, badly designed pieces of marketing flim-flam. That was £50 quid on top of the £180 it cost over a year ago, now the motor is nearly dead, weaker and weaker each time and almost useless, the canister will not stay on and the brush bar is in bits. Lots of similar Dysons are "spares or repairs" on eBay so it makes me realise I am not the only person to fall for these carpet baggers' appaling BS! Soz, but Victoria Woods mumsy voice over in the adverts makes me throw stuff at the telly. Yes, it was a bit more powerful but not enough to justify the cost or the fact that I got about 7 or 8 uses from it and it was too bulky to clean the car properly without using a handbrush so, you know, rub - ish. Rant finished.Anyway, this version of the FLEXI has a surprisingly effective powered carpet brush that can really pick up animal hairs and food debris. The clever hose design and tools allow you into awkward spaces and I have yet to find a job it cannot handle, really well. I'm just sorry I didn't know there was a LiOn powered version when I ordered this one (I bet that really 'kicks bottom', style of fing) and really, really, really sorry i did not buy this before I wasted so much on the 'DieSoon you utter £%$'. ah well live and (not) learn. Definitely recommended.

good vacuum, but won't substitute your vacuum cleaner!
Bought this device to pick up my and my daughter's hair from bathroom and smaller jobs( crumbs on sofa), as I was tired of always bringing in and out my vacuum from the closet downstairs.Works very well, although I would have wished for a wider "mouth", the carpet add on works very well too, so much that you would be tempted to use it around the house instead of the full scale vacuum.Obviously, that will not work, as the battery charge dies out too quickly (a few minutes 5/7 minutes) and you have to work bending low to reach the floor. Having said that, it is great for smaller jobs and I imagine a car (I do not own one).I am waiting for someone to finally invent a cordless full size powerful Miele vacuum cleaner, but in the meantime a traditional one plus the black and decker cordless will do great.

Perfect as a portable vacuum
I was wary of buying a cordless vacuum due to so many negative reviews (this is the only one that had decent reviews!). Wondered if it was just going to be ineffective and a waste of money...However, after 3 weeks of use I'm really pleased with it. It is great for cleaning the car and getting into the out of reach nooks & corners that are too much hassle to get to with an ordinary vacuum.I don't really get the complaints about noise or poor suction. It's a bit noisy because its a vacuum cleaner (doh!) but not bad at all, and the suction is not as strong as a mains powered Dyson, but it doesn't need to be.Not 5 Stars due to having a fairly short life between charges. Otherwise it's great and works perfectly for what its designed for. I'd buy it again.

Pd 1200 cordless DustBuster great for car and home
Initially I was only looking for a car vacuum but wondered if their was a product that could be used around the home as well .I then found the Pd 1200, with so many positive reviews I decided to take the plunge and it's been a delight to use. I was sceptical about the 15 minute maximum cleaning time before the battery stopped working but it's amazing how much cleaning you can get through due to how easy it is to manoeuvre. It's great for stairs, skirting boards, wooden blinds , shelving and especially for rugs in the bathroom etc as I find my Dyson animal simply destroys small rugs but the Pd 1200 has just the right power to clean but not devour them. All the attachments are carried around with the actual vacuum so less chance of misplacing them. The main point for me is convenience , it's not a problem to grab this and quickly spot clean a certain area rather than having to drag the main vacuum around the house, plug it in, unwrap the power cable and then put it all back again . The Pd 1200 is light , versatile ,good range of attachments and personally I don't think it's that loud (certainly when compared to the full size Dyson), also has good quality re chargeable batteries. It's been a very useful purchase. Highly recommended.

Does the job
Better suction than other high brand car vacs I've had. When you get it the instructions say it takes a few uses and charges to get up to its maximum suction level. I found it good from the first. But I guess it depends on the state of your car....I don't eat in mine, so it's just dust, dirt and mud to be hovered up.It comes with a power head attachment which is great for the seats. My boyfriend works in a wood factory so they get very dusty. I think if my car was a state I would hoover it at a car wash first then use this for maintenance. I don't think it can work miracles but it does pick up dirt. I would recommend it to my friends.
