Fits a lot but sounded like a freight train in my car
It fits a lot of stuff, only thing is (and this is my fault) it sounded like a jet airplane in my car about half way from houston TX to portland OR so about a 1000 Miles in I couldn’t bear the sound, it started making the freight train noise around 900 Miles and drive it about 100 more and couldn’t take it anymore. I have a luggage rack but no crossbars so it had slide during the drive (I went about 75 mph), so I don’t know if it was making that noise because it slid back some or because of the fabric just hitting the roof. Anyway, I gave it 4 stars because of that awful noise and I ended jam packing my car and taking it off my roof. It’s probably useful if you aren’t driving so far and it does fit a ton of stuff in it. But omg that noise!!!

Large, thick, durable bag that adds space when need, and is easy to store when it’s not.
I purchased this bag over other bags for the following reasons:1. The price was less and it included the mat that goes under the bag to protect the paint. (It did great, and did not move, and my vehicle looks just fine.)2. It said it was waterproof and we anticipated rain on our vacation. (We drove 700 miles to Yellowstone with clear skies, it rained the 7 days we were there, and then we drove 700 miles home in the sunshine. So I don’t know how waterproof it actually is because it never rained on the bag.)3. My Dodge GrandCaravan has side rails and cross rails, but we are looking at purchasing a new vehicle which will only have side rails and I wanted to be able to use this bag on that vehicle as well. (My husband ended up attaching this to the vehicle in an “x” shape going from the front drivers side to the rear passenger side with the first strap, and then from the front passenger side to the rear drivers side with the other strap. He didn’t use the crossrails to attach the bag, however he did move them next to the bag to “cradle” the bag securing its location. He then also used a lashing strap across the middle going from side-rail to side-rail. I don’t know if that extra strap was needed, but it made him feel better to use it incase the others broke, which they didn’t.)This was my first time securing luggage to the top of my car, so I was a little nervous. The vehicle did drive a little different on the way up, with the cross winds, but my husband did a better job distributing the weight for the return trip and I didn’t notice it at all. Here are my overall impressions for anyone looking to use this type of thing for the first time:Pros:1. We had 6 people in the van, and all the clothes, coats, rain gear, stroller (wrapped in a coat so that no sharp edges were touching the bag) on the top. I then used the cargo area to pack a weeks worth of food. I had leftover space on the inside of the car.2. The bag was not completely full, but was able to be secured nicely so that it didn’t move or make any noise.3. The straps on this bag are not attached to the bag, so you can easily replace them with a different kind. It also allowed us to “cinch” the bag tight.4. The loops that the straps go through are really thick and feel very durable. We were able to secure the straps so they were not loose.5. After unloading the bag at Yellowstone, we just folded it up and left it in the back of the vehicle for the week, until we were ready to come home. The space it occupied was minimal.6. Other than the bugs stuck to the front of it, it looks new, and held up really well. I can totally use it again.7. It was worth the money to have the extra space in the vehicle.Cons:1. I didn’t use any suitcases, just soft duffle bags, because I didn’t want to risk a sharp edge puncturing the bag.2. We took the stepladder with us (inside the van) so that we could get our stuff off of the top of the vehicle when we got to our location and then get it back on the vehicle for the trip home.3. If you can’t complete your drive all at once and have to stop for the night, you probably should unload it and take all of your stuff with you so that someone doesn’t steal your stuff from the bag.4. It takes time to load and unload the bag (I recommend two people work together with one person handing the items up to the other peoron who is loading/unloading it.I was able to fill the bag while my vehicle was still parked in the garage the night befor the trip and it was a tight squeeze getting it through the garage door, but it did fit. If the vehicle had been taller, like a Chevy Tahoe, it wouldn’t have fit through the garage door opening. I have tracked my fuel economy for years, and I didn’t see any difference having this bag on the top. This Connor bag was a great purchase, and have recommended it to my sister who is getting ready to take a long trip with her family and all their stuff.

Strategic packing
You must pack from one side (that has the zipper) and shove everything over to other side to fill bag up. We used pillows to fill some voids in the middle and maintain shape. Needs to be full and even as much as possible.

Excellent quality. Keeps cargo dry!
Bought this cargo cover over the summer and it’s now late December. Have used it many times in all types of weather. It has kept everything dry and dirt free. Bought it to keep cargo in back of open pick up truck dry and clean. It works well. I followed what other reviewers suggested with keeping the flap down over the zipper, which now after using, makes sense and definitely helps with keeping rain out. My only observation- and this isn’t a complaint, as cargo bag works excellent- is in colder weather, zippers become hard to manage as bag becomes stiff. So if you plan on using in winter months just know that because bag is made of thicker materials it will stiffen up in winter. Not impossible to use just a little more time consuming in closing.

Good quality is heavy duty
Good quality is heavy duty. Very big fit 5 medium sized suitcases. Seems like it will last for a while. Have to get it really tight or it will flap. Had to re-adjust every so often. Went on a 1400 mile trip.

Very important to read and follow the instructions
We own a Dodge Journey with only the side rails and to use all 3 rows our trunk space is super small. I purchased this cargo bag after reading all the reviews. I’m super satisfied with this product. Drove To and back from Texas to South Carolina, 2,000 miles of rain & shine with no noise. This size was perfect for a family of 6. I highly recommend
