This is just like a human sweatshirt. Feels good, looks great, doesn’t fade or go all weird when you wash it. Sizing was spot on, plus it’s good and warm for our little chorky. First time in seven years she’s ever enjoyed a winter I think.Kinda wish they made a human version…a little jealous..

The size chart accurately shows the dimensions of the clothing, so make sure your dog's chest is actually smaller than the number given. It's suggested to choose the chest size 1 inch larger than your dog, but for big dogs it's better to give them an extra 2 inches so they can comfortably run and stretch out in these.I got the XL for my doberman and it fits okay, just barely big enough. But if your doberman has a chest larger than 32 inches, this would not work for you. Female dobermans should be fine with XL, but for males I really think you should size up to XXL. It's so hard finding clothes big enough for dobermans, but they really need that extra protection in winter.The interior of this sweater is a soft fleece material. The outside is more that slippery polyester material, but not waterproof. The bottom is cut short enough that my dog doesn't pee on it and the sleeves are very short on my doberman so he can't get the sleeves dirty either. They barely go past his elbows even though in the ad photos it looks like the sleeves reach halfway down the dog's arm. The hood is just for decoration and is nowhere near big enough to fit over the dog's head. I do like the hood design though. Dog clothes with those wide collars like human clothes just look bad. At least on my dog I prefer a turtleneck or at least a false hood for the neck area to cover his neck a bit.Just make sure you get the sizing right and this could be a good sweater for your dog this winter. Also note that this sweater bleeds colour in the wash, even when I used cold water. Definitely do not wash with whites.
