Gallium, with the element symbol Ga and atomic number 31, is a IIIA group metal. The density is 5.904 grams per cubic centimeter, the melting point is 29.76 ° C (302.91 K, 85.57 ° F), and the boiling point is 2204 ° C (2477 K, 3999 ° F). Solid gallium is blue gray, while liquid gallium is silver white. Gallium is hard and brittle at low temperatures, but melts when it exceeds room temperature and is soluble in acids and bases, making it highly corrosive. Gallium is relatively stable in dry air and forms an oxide film on its surface to prevent further oxidation. It loses its luster in humid air. Gallium has a very low solidification point, and when it transforms from liquid to solid, its expansion rate is 3.1%. It is suitable for storage in plastic containers. Gallium content in the crust is 0.0015% and does not exist in a pure metallic state. It is usually obtained as a byproduct when extracting aluminum from bauxite or zinc from zinc ore.

9.1g, not 10g as advertised. But makes Galinstad
The media could not be loaded. I would give 5 stars if the product was sold with the correct weight. 9.1g folks. Not 10g. Maybe it’s 10g with the container, but mine was 9.1g. It made Galinstan, which is a safe substitute for mercury, made of gallium, indium, and tin. Liquid Metal at room temperature, so it’s good, but light.

not sure what to make of this
to be fair, I bought this only out of curiosity, it arrived relatively quick considering its point of origin, I tried warming up the plastic jar it came in with a heat gun to melt it since some had stuck to the edge, no luck with that, I didn't want to melt the plastic jar, so I cut it open, removed the metal and put it in a glass beaker, the thin layer of metal that was stuck to the inside wall of the plastic jar never came off, I was hoping it would gather itself if I rubbed it together, once I transferred it into glass, I placed it outside and left it, when I checked it about an hour later, it was all melted and flowing freely (not sure how long it actually took) BUT... I swished it around in the glass and it kinda "painted" the glass with a layer of chrome, so now if I pour it out of my glass container, its going to leave a layer all the way up and my gallium will diminish, maybe I'm not understanding this metal fully, but there is no way I'm putting it my hand like in the picture! interesting item, I personally just don't know what to make of it, or do with it,

cool and gives a descent amount of gallium
I like how it comes with little molds to put the gallium in to make shapes. Very fun
