I got these on a whim to try with book binding and I really like them. The paper backing is really nice, you're able to tear it if you really need to, but it's easy to cut. The thickness is great resulting in gorgeous binds. For the price, I would absolutely get these again.

The texture is very cheap feeling and some of the edges have frayed. The surface is not coated so any stray glue will leave a dark stain. The paper backing does prevent glue from seeping through the cloth and I did not have any trouble with bubbles or wrinkles.

I've really enjoyed learning about book binding. This is a nice set of book cloths to use for covers. They look really nice and are very sturdy. They really worked well and I love how the old paperbacks look in their new binding.

This bookbinding cloth is a really beautiful, rich color with a paper backing. You CAN tear the paper off if you really needed to, though the paper allows it to be glued to a cover much more easily. (However, if you glue it to the cover, realize you glued it wrong, peel it off, and then try to get the glue off, you may peel the paper off... speaking from experience...). The cloth itself will cover a lot of 5.5x8.5" books, as those fit nicely across the short length. I've used the black and the red so far. The blue is a really vibrant cobalt, the brown is chocolatey, the black is nice and deep, and the red is sort of a wine red instead of a bright fireman's red. All in all, I'm really impressed with the amount, color, and quality of these cloths!

I"m very pleased with this book cloth. It is sturdy and about what I expect to find in any buckram bookbinding cloth.I love the classic dark covers, and they were shipped rolled so there are no fold marks. I can't buy bookcloth locally and have never been a fan of what mail order from specialty shops cost me for covers.I don't have to worry about that anymore!There's lots more books waiting to happen in this box, now.

This is a perfect variety pack for book binding. I like that it comes with multiple colors and that they're more neutral colors and can be used for various genres. The material is easy to work with and I will definitely be getting this again

nice, large, well made book cloths with great color and adhere perfectly to chipboard. You can embroider on them as well or even print if your printer can handle large pieces. I used heat transfer vinyl on mine and they didn't melt or burn or anything. Will be buying more.

These book covering fabric sheets are wonderful. I took photos of these lovely book covering pieces but my photos fail because they do not accurately reflect the beauty or the depth of colour that these book coverings actually possess. Usually, the photos in real life are more accurate than the photos in the advertisement, but this is the total opposite -- that's a first for me. So please take note that these photos pretty much suck and do not accurately reflect the beautiful colours of the book cover material that I received. The colours in real life are freaking gorgeous, unlike the way they look in my photos. I think it's because of the pot lights in my kitchen ceiling; they cast shadows and wash colours out for some reason. ** sad panda **But these are gorgeous pieces to cover some special books with, and I am absolutely delighted with them. The fabric is soft but sturdy and it feels like it will be perfect for covering some of my favourite books. It feels like a sort of quasi-suede, I guess I would call it, and it is thick enough to provide exceptional protection while also being thin enough that it does not interfere with the enjoyment of holding the book.I can hardly wait to start cutting these pieces up to create customized covers for some of my favourite books. But which ones to cover first? Yikes. I love books and I love my library but as any bibliophile knows, there are certain books for which you just have a strong affinity for reasons known or unknown, and those are the ones that I want to start with -- creating custom covers to protect them but also to make them stand out for me in their designated spots on the bookshelves.I really love the feel of this book covering fabric and the deep, rich colours as previously mentioned. The covering fabric pieces are a generous size and I think that each piece is large enough for two books, depending on the size of the books, of course, but based upon average book sizes, I think that this set will be enough to cover 7 or 8 books in total, which makes this a good value for this level of quality.

The fabric of this book cover is visually appealing, featuring a finely woven polyester texture. It appears to offer good protection, feeling and looking sturdy. Despite its thinness, the paper backing adds reinforcement, making it easy to handle. While primarily intended for book covering, we also plan to use it as a background for macro photography. Certainly as advertised and still exceeded my expectations.Suggestions:- does not remove nicely unless on a text book cover with the gloss.- once applied know that it will not come off easily with ought damage on a soft cover . Although I was impressed by the way it covered a soft cover nicely and seamlessly .( my soft cover novel i choose to try it out on was heavily damaged and it made the book eye appealing again )

I picked up the rebinding of softcover books to hardcovers, and it is a fun, creative new hobby for me. I didn’t want to invest too much in the hobby, and originally made bookcloth from material I already had. It was fine, and the results were okay, but when compared to using this bookcloth, the results are day and night. It is much, much easier to work with and I found the off brand Heat Transfer Vinyl I used stuck MUCH better. I also managed to get much cleaner corners and no warping due to improperly adhered material. Works great with normal PVA glue.

Really nice fabric book cloth- hold shape nicely, vibrant blue and rich Bourgogne red. Has great tear resistance as well. My only complaint is that they are rather on the thinner side as far as book binding cloth goes. Yes it looks and feels lovely but if you are needing a heavier duty application and need a more substantial canvas you’ll need to look elsewhere as these are very thin. Great for home and arts and crafts but you’ll need something more substantial if using in classroom or Library application.Also worth a mention: these are paper backed and non adhesive
