Ogon Aluminum Small Ribbed Wallet - Gold

I have this aluminum Ogon wallet in several colors. I first purchased one prior to a European vacation... (you place your credit cards with magnetic strip inside the pockets, and it prevents thieves from tapping into your credit cards.) It was the perfect size to fit into my day-time Tumi shoulder carrier. I purchased this GOLD one to fit inside my Chanel evening purse, as it is perfectly sized... and GOLD to match the purse hardware. (And, because it is about $500 less than the Chanel accessory which would fit inside my bag...and looks "almost" as beautiful as the Chanel accessory.) P.S. I have also purchased these wallets for gifts to family/friends prior to their vacations...

I bought this wallet (January 2011) for my husband, who carries it in his shirt pocket. It looks better in person than in the photo; the little Ogon logo is actually embossed and is a pure aluminum color (rather than gold) and gives the wallet an elegant touch. He's carrying 11 cards/IDs and still has a little room to spare.I'm impressed with the construction; the PVC liner that holds the cards looks like it will be durable and I really like the way the cards fan out when you open the case; much easier to see than with a conventional wallet. The wallet seems well-constructed; I'm not going to test it, but it actually looks like it would float if dropped in water. The only possible weak link I see here is the clasp; it works well & fits tightly, but looks like it couldn't take a lot of abuse. As long as you're careful to open the wallet properly, I think it will last.Nice looking, high tech wallet (helps protect your cards from RFID theft--Google it); I like it so well, I came back a month later to buy one for myself!-------------------Update from January 2011 original review: As of September, 2013, both wallets are holding up great; very happy with my purchase of both.
