A+ for cool
Edit: 3/9/24 (2/16/24 original) I now have all eight available dragon dice sets. See bottom for update.I debated writing this review for purely selfish reasons...I wasn't sure I wanted to let people in on the secret before I could get another set. I got the black scale w red eye set, and when I came back to get more as gifts, the red on black was sold out.I came upon this dice set purely by accident. I'd been looking for a set of solid metal dice, and the set looked so cool in the photos, I was instantly interested. I was put off a bit by the fact that all the reviews were of free samples, but the sheer coolness won me over. I half expected to get ripped off.I must say, I have never been so happy with an impulse purchase. The colors: exactly as shown. The numbers are painted neatly. Given the slim raised numbers, the fact that they do not overspill their boundaries is impressive. The size. They are more or less the size of your typical acrylic or resin dice. I personally do not like oversized dice (like many of the sharp edged sets I have seen), so this was a pleasant surprise. You can roll several at a time. The weight: perfect. They are heavy, but not too heavy to roll in your palm. The feel. The scales are not painted on; they are part of the mold. These dice feel scaly. The corners are sharp, but other than the d4, not excessively so. They feel good in your hand. The roll. You must roll these dice. These dice are heavy enough that if you drop them, or half drop/half roll them, they will land and stick. However, they are light enough that they roll quite well. There are a few cons. The d4 corners are sharp. Of all the dice, the d4 is the hardest roll, and it will poke you.The numbers are hard to read. The numbers are thin and raised, and this is a dark red on black. Unless you are in a brightly lit room, or you pick them up, you will have trouble reading them. You will need a dice tray or other padding. I haven't tried it, but I am certain that these will ding the heck out of most surfaces. In spite of that, these are perhaps the coolest dice I have seen, let alone own. The pros completely eclipse the cons. I wanted more, but as I mentioned, they already sold out of the red on black. So, I'm going to get another style/color...maybe two.And so, against my best interest, I'm writing this review to tell everyone just how great these dice are. Hopefully, I get them before you do. May the best dice gremlin win!Since my first post, I have gotten all currently available dragon-scale dice sets (I did not get the smooth, rainbow number set...not sure why it is included with the dragon sets), either for myself or as gifts. As gifts, my friends love them. We each bring at least 4 sets of dice to the table, so the fact that they all used these dice for the majority of the session is impressive. (We have a dice jail that is typically full, but was not used at all last time). Some of the sets' d4 are pointier than others (yes, I said pointier). I don't know whether that is due to variance of the mold, or if there is a degree of hand-finishing to these sets. The other sets conform to my initial review in everything but appearance, so let's address that.Black scale w green eye. Just as cool as the black scale w red eye. It all depends on which color you prefer.Yellow scale. These are metal dice...they are gold, not yellow. This is apparent from the picture, and you can see how cool they look. Second favorite to the two black sets.White scale. Again, metal dice...these are more silver than white (maybe split the difference and say platinum). Yes, this is cool, however, I would have preferred a matte white option.Red scale and green scale. The pictures show some white on the dice (which again, shows as silver), but I thought it was mostly glare/reflection of light. No, there is a lot of white on these dice. As far as appearance, these are the weakest of the bunch.Red/green scale. My first thought was there is no such thing as a red/green dragon. My second was, Christmas dice. And again, there is white/silver showing through. I did notice, as I was rolling these, that there were flecks of glitter on my pants. I'm not sure how well the paint will hold over time.Blue glitter. Ok, the word glitter turns me off. Glitter stopped being a selling point when I was 5. That being said, I did not hate these dice. The blue paint is a glittery blue/purple, but in normal lighting, it appears mostly black with a blue/purple hue that is actually quite appealing. When you shine a light directly on it, you get to see the full blue/purple glittery color, but the shifting hues are pretty cool.Final review.I will stick with the five star rating based on the black sets and the gold set. The others I would give 4 stars due to their appearance...the scale design is still very cool, and the weight and feel are still very good, but the colors just aren't as cool. Time will tell how the paint holds, but this could drag down the overall quality. The price has gone up 10-25% since I bought these, so you have some decisions to make.My opinion: get the black ones...red eye, green eye, that's up to you. Heck, get them both. They are definitely the coolest looking of the bunch, and there is less chance that the appearance will change do to flaking of the paint. Gold and silver are next, followed by the blue. Save the green, red and red/green for Christmas.

Heavy
These Dice are so nice. This is the third set I’ve purchased as once I received the first I was so happy I needed more colors. The weight, coming in on the heavy side, is very nice. The Eye being the 20 is so satisfying on Nat20 rolls!!! The numbers are easy to read and roll well. Also may dent your table. Worth it

Single D20, not a dice set
It is a single D20, not a full dice set. Title is misleading. It comes in a nice felt lined pleather pouch. Huge, heavy and great quality metal D20 though. It would have been 5 stars if the title wasn't sketchy and intentionally misleading.

Worth the price!
Absolutely impressed with these dice. Vivid colors, the readability of the numbers is easy, they're a good weight, and the dragon scale texture is fantastic! Well worth the money!
