Very good product.
This is a quality fiberglass resin ideal for interior repairs structural or cosmetic and is perfect underlayment for a gel coat top layer. This product is as easy to use as any and if you're familiar then you know. If you’re not familiar I suggest you educate yourself before attempting to use this product. You can get great results with this resin, but just as easily you can have a terrible mess. I used this to overlay the floor in the very lowest part on my bass boat. It wasn’t soft but would sometimes creek when moving around on it. I just made sure it was level and added a good layer and it turned out well. I also repaired a crack in a bathtub step and the material worked well. I recommend this but if you’ve not used it before then do yourself a favor and learn all you can about resins.

Good product. If youre a DIY'er, do some homework before jumping in
I shouldn't have ordered this during winter. I had a small, non-structural repair I wanted to do on my boat, and I thought I could do it during the colder weather so it would be ready for spring. But the product says that it is only supposed to be applied when the temperature is above 70 degrees farenheit. I had to take the boat to a guy who has a shop that he heats, and get him to do the work but using this can of polyester resin. He told me that if the resin was poor quality, he wouldn't take responsibility. The repair looks good, and the bond appears to be very solid. The guy at the shop said that he used some kind of primer, and I probably wouldn't have, so I don't know if mine would have bonded as well. He said that the resin worked well.I had material left over, and I have a friend who surfs who had some board repair to do. He was thrilled to get it, and it came out beautiful. He was also pleased with working this resin. His work looks like brand new, and it made me realize that I probably couldn't have made it look that nice. I didn't do the work myself, but a pro and a semi-professional refinisher were both very happy with it.I had one more small job on the back wall of a shed that a gardner damaged, and it finally warmed up enough for me to give it a try. I had just enough resin, and this time I knew to use a primer.

Works but needs improvement
I got this on a test to try it out. Usually I use boatyard resin in most my projects but thought id give this a try. For reference, ive been using and mixing resin for over ten years. It's pretty safe to say that I know what I'm doing based on ratios and temps that directly affect the drying rate. After mixing this it seemed as if it took a while to even remotely start to harden. It remained tacky for a while after the mixing. It may be the catalyst that is bad, not sure but something was off with it. It could even be a bad batch which does happen from time to time. To clarify, it did get hard but took over 24 hours at 70 degrees which is unusual. It still appears to be a good resin just may have been old.

Welp? I got a gallon
I ordered this in anticipation of trying to repair my rv. I decided to go a different direction on this so all I can really tell you is the resin came well packaged with only a slight hint of the delicious aroma of fiberglass resin.

Decent resin, but package problems cause leaks!
The fiberglass resin is decent, but when the package arrived there was leaky bottles, and a very strong odor. The small bottle of hardener was leaking and even though the bottle was in a bag it leaked right through the cap, so there was some loss, the bottle arrived about half full. The large bottle of resin had some seepage at the cap. The smell is so bad it fills the garage with a strong chemical odor within minutes, even after cleaning everything up.Leaking bottles problem aside, the fiberglass resin works ok. Wet out is good and the resin is easy to work, flows well but still keeps position. The resin is slow curing, stays tacky and soft too long, even after precise measuring of mixing ratios, it takes long to harden, might have to get more hardener as it seems not enough was included. Given enough time to harden, it ended up just fine and the repair looked and felt as expected. Price was ok for a gallon, and the end result was satisfactory. If it wasn't leaking all out of the bottles I would be much happier though...

Works Well
This resin appears to be a quality material. It arrives with a separate bottle of hardener and easy to follow and understand instructions for use. The product seems to remain tacky for an extended period of time but works and looks great. The packaging needs to be streamlined a bit however. When I picked up the cardboard box off the porch I could feel roughness on the box as though it had been sitting in a wet place. Turns out the product, despite being in plastic bags, leaks out a bit. The item is as described by the seller. I am very pleased with this item and believe you will be as well. Therefore, Dr. T. highly recommends this product!!
