Look...if you don’t have that much knowledge on protein shakes...don’t give this one a bad review because it isn’t super sweet or is gritty...that’s how plant based shakes are...do your research before giving a bad review to an AMAZING product. There are different forms of protein: Isolates, Whey, Egg and plant based. They all work for different individuals and digest more/less quickly. Now, the plant based protein has an “Earthy” taste which comes from all of the bad reviews, I’m 100% positive of that. If you’re used to “regular” protein shakes that mostly are WHEY protein...THIS WILL TASTE “BAD” to you or different. It’s supposed to, it’s natural, organic, doesn’t have all of that processed crap and sweetness that make everything taste delicious...just do your research before you buy a shake that you think is healthy. None the less, this shake is very healthy for you and if you get passed the earthy taste, you’ll love it. I hope this review helps someone in the future! Also, follow my IG LOL @kristopherdesean

So I will not be buying because you can find Orgain shakes for cheaper than this on luckyvitamin.comVega is a high quality health food brand and I approve of this shake and the price, which was $4 cheaper than Orgain's Vegan Shakes. Now im Addressing the people that say this shake doesnt taste good, thats probably because the average american consumes a LOT of sugar and this is not meant to be a sweet treat, this is not like Muscle Milk (which is oversweetened dairy mucus drink), if you drink Kool-Aid and high fructose corn syrup soda, you prob wont think this is sweet enough.... I only eat an occasional dessert and fruit for sugar, and i dont like adding sugar to my drinks, i dont drink soda and rarely drink fruit juice and i think this is PLENTY sweet... infact, if it were any sweeter I wouldn't think it tastes good. It tastes natural, because it is. Sometimes you have to give up sugar for a while to change your palette.. The more natural foods you consume and less processed sugary things, the more you will develop a taste and a like for natural flavors. That being said I love this Shake!! I bought it in vanilla and its really smooth and easy and quick to drink., it tastes almost identical in taste to their vanilla protein powder... . I think I will order it in chocolate next....

This is a fantastic product...lots of healthy nutrients in a flavorful drink. Good consistency (like reduced fat chocolate milk or almond milk.) Note the vanilla flavor looks a little green (because of the healthy ingredients), but don't worry, it still tastes delicious. Great supplement for breakfast or for a quick bit of protein on the go. While its best served cold, I also appreciate that it doesn't have to be refrigerated. So why not five stars? Its just a very little too sweet for me (i'm working hard to consume less sugars). I wish they used honey instead of sugar, and not so much of it. Its also a just little on the pricey side though not unbearably so.

After finding out I could not have protein drinks with whey, even if they were listed as suitable for those with lactose intolerance, I switched to vegetable protein drinks and have now tried several powders and the three major chocolate flavored ready-mixed drinks: Evolve, Vega and Orgain.I much prefer pre-mixed because it's more convenient, and the drinks are more consistently mixed than what I can achieve with a shaker and powder.Vega is my absolute favorite of the three, without question. It's slightly grainy and there is almost always powder left in the bottom of the bottle when you're done, but I add a couple ounces of almond milk and shake it up and get the remaining protein powder that way.What I like the most about it is the taste. It's just such a superior chocolate flavor to the other two (Orgain and Evolve) that I prefer it over the others. It sits well and has never upset my stomach, and the containers are sturdy and easy to recycle, easier than the cardboard cartons in my opinion. I've also been able to save a couple of these plastic containers to use for when I need to mix up protein from powder (which I'm still using up) and take it with me.I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to try a ready-mixed plant protein drink.

I'm dairy and soy sensitive so I'm a bit limited on my protein drinks. Accounting for that, I went on a search of the best nutritional drink on the market and ended up with Vega. I was really excited for these. I have used the Evolve organic shakes and really loved them and I wanted to see what else was out there. Vega's shakes are very runny. The consistency is more water like, when most ready to drink shakes are thicker. The thin consistency of this drink was weird. The chocolate flavor wasn't bad, just slightly, slightly grainy. I found the watery consistency to be kinda gross. The worst part was these made me feel more dehydrated than the Evolve shakes or the Orgain shakes. This also gave me what felt like dry mouth. I drank 1 a day, and made it to the 10th bottle and just stopped. Every time I drank one, I felt the symptoms of dry mouth and my throat felt like it had a permanent mucus on it. The mucus feeling was really subtle, but it just annoyed me. I really didnt like the dehydrated feeling it gave me though.Overall, I cannot recommend these. Sure, its organic but to me it wasn't worth the mediocre flavor and weird side effects. I just can't recommend these when they are far SUPERIOR alternatives available.
