Very sturdy and fits the neck perfectly
Now that our son is mobile and struts through the house getting into anything and everything, I figured it was time to put up my guitars so he doesn't accidentally damage one. I play almost every day, and I don't feel like having large guitar cases sitting in my living room, so I opted to get wall mounts so that I could hang them out of my son's reach and quickly grab them when I want to play. I came across these mounts and seeing they were pretty affordable, decided to give them a try. Here's the scoop:Pros:- You can use them to hang your guitar(s) vertically, horizontally, or at an angle. I was able to angle these mounts so that the neck of the guitar sits in one mount and the body of the guitar rests on another. Given the pack only came with three mounts, I had to improvise and use an L-bracket for my other guitar.- They mount is plenty wide for a narrow or thick free board. I mounted a narrow-bodied Washburn Festival acoustic 6-string and a Yamaha 12-string guitar with no problems. They fit nice and snug and I've had no issues with them holding in place.- They look nice. The mounts are fairly low profile and leave a small footprint. I like that they're barely noticeable.- The set comes with decent anchors. Typically, wall mounts come with the cheap, blister anchors, however, this set comes with some the nice, sturdy, cavity anchors that screw into the wall.Cons:- The only problem that I've had with these mounts is that the arm end caps will sometimes pop off when you remove your guitar. I fixed this issue by taking some gorilla glue and glueing them in place.I am extremely happy with these wall mounts and would recommend them for anyone looking to mount their guitars either for aesthetic purposes or for getting them off the ground and out of reach.

Not what they used to be, 2014 to 2016
Warning! Do not use for anything more than 3 lbs. I purchased a set of these in 2014 and I've been happy with them. Now two years later I've bought a few more and wanted to hang them up to save some floor space. However upon opening the package of the new ones it looked similar enough, untill I flipped it around to see the inside of the plastic base. The plastic is THINNER in the middle. You know, the part that takes most of your guitars weight. So not being so eager to hang my $100s of dollars of guitars on these. I decided a test should be done. First I put up a start copy weighting 5.19 lbs and it held. I didn't really expect it to crumble under 5lbs. Then I added 9.2 lbs just to see if it can take a total of 14.5lbs (a Les Paul weights around 10lbs.) And sure enough as soon as I added the extra weight slowly I hear a crack and a crunch. I Take a look and the part that holds the neck is bent becuase of the thin plastic in the middle section just broke free. I did the same test to the old one and it survived and is still useable. I am really dissapointed that this company went to save $0.05 on each hanger by thinning out a critical part in these hangers. Sure they might work for the person who's hanging a ukelele but if your guitar has any real weight to it I would not trust these at all. Sure they might hold for awhile but as time goes on plastic can get brittle and with these things being fragile enough it might take a month or a few years to give out, and when they do let's just hope our guitars can handle a good 4ft drop.

Excellent product for the money!
Work exactly as described. More versatile than I expected. Works on everything I've tried so far. I have five (6 and 12 string) acoustic guitars, 3 heavy banjos with both wooden and metal resonators and very narrow necks, a mandolin, and a ukulele all hung up in my living room with these. These aren't the fanciest looking but very affordable and extremely functional. Would look better if there were some sort of small plugs to cover the screw heads.

Flimsy plastic - not strong enough to hold a valuable instrument securely
These used to be stronger but the ones I received this week are flimsy and not strong enough to hold a valuable instrument. Maybe a cheap uke. The back piece (the part that gets fastened to the wall) is very thin and fragile where the hangers swivel. Anything over about 3-4 pounds will cause the flimsy plastic to crack and the hangers will droop and drop your instrument on the floor. The drywall anchors are junk - the included screws are too short unless you are turning directly into an exposed 2x4 without any sheetrock. So unless you are using drywall anchors you will need longer screws to get through the sheetrock and into the stud behind.Even if these were strong enough to hold an electric guitar or bass, they do not have anything to keep the instrument from sliding off the end, The hooks do not curve upwards and the tendency is for them to droop because the bracket is plastic and flexes under weight (and will droop much more soon enough when the thin plastic cracks).

These wall hangers are great, I have about 20 of them in use
These wall hangers are great, I have about 20 of them in use. The mounting hardware included works fine with drywall, I've never had one fall and do not worry about them. I was disappointed to see that the padding over the two posts that the guitar rests on has been made thinner on my more recent orders, the first ones I got were far superior as far as that goes, now the padding is only half as thick which is not as comforting. Seems silly to cut such a corner to save a few pennies, I wish the manufacturer had not cheaped out like that. But, they still work and one can always retrofit some thicker padding I suppose if you can find some tube stuff and cut it up to fit. Be wary of what you pay for these, some sellers sell for a few bucks each while others are selling for 15 bucks each and more. They are all the same, don't get burned by a high priced seller.

Not just for guitars
This is a quality guitar hanger for real, adult-sized guitars, but my kid got a child's toy uke for Christmas; this keeps it on the wall and out of the toy box where it will be broken! He has a second one that he hangs his giant foam Zelda replica costume sword on. Works great.Came with screws and drywall plugs for a good anchor to the wall. Fully adjustable for all sizes of guitar/instrument/sword necks. My other kid got one too, because, well, kids. She hangs toys and necklaces and bracelets and other random things on hers that only a 3 year old would hang. She loves it.Should I ever need more of these, I'd buy them again.

12 string guitar just barely fits
As expected for the price, it does the job. Reason I was looking for something that said ALL guitars is I have a 12 string that I needed mounted and the neck is obviously wider. It fits but just barely, I have to turn the guitar to the side and kind of angle the bottom a bit and it still hits the wall when I do.So it hangs my guitar fine but for guitars with wider necks perhaps theres something that's better out there that you could find.

Good size and Easy to install
This was easy to install (would’ve been faster had unused a drill and not a screwdriver). It’s the perfect size for our daughter’s ukulele. Now I don’t have to worry about it getting squished in the toy box. There isn’t anything fancy about it but it’s just what I needed.

Sounded too Good to be True
Just like the saying goes "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" This ad seems like it includes 5 guitar hangers. but what it really includes is 2 screws, 2 wall anchors, and a single guitar hanger. i should have known this was too cheap to actually be 5 hangers.

Very cheap, be careful.
The plastic socket holding one of the screw broke as I was putting it on my wall, this made the hanger very unstable and I had to order a more stable one.

Easy install, does exactly what you'd expect. I like the soft foam. It protects the guitar neck well.
