Size:A5 Canson Watercolour pad is the ideal paper to use when starting watercolour painting. Its cold pressed (Not) texture makes it easy to use plus it doesn't cockle when wet. It is acid-free and naturally white to limit the aging of the paper and have an optimal longevity over time.

ottimi fogli per iniziare con gli acquarelli.
sono soddisfatto dell'acquisto, li utilizzo per dipingere ad acquarello e la carta ha una perfetta tonalità di bianco. ottima quindi la resa cromatica. Resiste ottimamente a cancellature e strappi. La canson è un ottima marca e consiglio tutti i formati. Unica pecca la copertina dell'album molto sottile che rischia di strapparsi. se vi sono stato D'aiuto vi chiedo di lasciare utile alla recensione, grazie in anticipo.

Decent entry level watercolour paper, dries out a tad too quickly
I'm a beginner watercolourist, so I was looking for a decent practice paper. I needed paper that would be good enough not to hinder my growth but also not top quality and prohibitively expensive. I am now on my second pad of this paper. The grain has a very nice, tactile quality to it. It's a pleasure to hold it in your hands. It's obviously entry-level paper so it does have some drawbacks. I personally find that the washes dry a little too fast for my liking. It does hold its shape when wet relatively well, but it's not completely warp-free like it says on the cover. Additionally, there are some patches - usually near the gummed edge - where some glue has probably been applied inadvertently. Those patches don't take the wash as well and you need to go over them a couple of times for them to look the same.Overall, it's decent for beginners but it's very much entry level paper. I will be looking to experiment with other watercolour papers in the same range, that perhaps dry less quickly and allow for nicer washes.

Will be using these for the rest of my arty days!
Fantastic quality! I use these to make little A6 cards. The pages come out of the pad so well and neatly. I ordered some bigger pads of this same one too!

Good value paper with a few draw backs
This paper is great value for money so long as you align your expectations with what it's capable of.The paper itself is nice and bright in colour with a slight texture and, at 300gsm it takes a reasonable amount of water without buckling or warping (as promised on the package).however, liquid seems to 'float' on the surface of this one more so than it does on the more expensive papers I use, and that leads to even more unpredictablility than even a seasoned water colourist can cope with.My recommendation for this paper would be for sketching ideas, or doing finer, more controlled paintings rather than paintings which use a lot of heavy washes.Having only a relatively slight texture, I really enjoy applying charcoal, and conte crayon to this for really quick, flowing sketches.I'll certainly be buying more of this.
