Excellent Helper for Baby Bath Time
For us, using this thermometer will help us feel more relaxed and confident during the baby's bath time, knowing that we are providing a safe (Preventing water from being too hot!) and comfortable (Water not to cold!) environment for the baby! In the past, we used the old fashion method of putting our elbow into the water as to determine the water temperature, which could be difficult and unreliable. Thank goodness, we have a world of great inventors! Not only is this just about the CUTEST little creature I've come across, but it serves such an important purpose! We all know that a flashing red light means it's an alert to danger, in this case, the LED warning light flashes red, (meaning, HOT WATER! HOT WATER)! But how awesome is it that light flashes blue when the water is too cold! In my opinion, SIMPLY CLEVER! I did look it up to find out what temperature the bath water should be, and I found out according to the American Academy of Pediatrics, the ideal temperature for a baby’s bath is around 100°F. So, with this ideal little helper, it's going to be a lot easier to have the correct temperature!

best bath companion for baby baths
I love how responsive this bath thermometer is! It floats in the bath and keeps continuous watch on the water temperature; it flashes red when the water is too hot and flashes blue when the water becomes too cold. Its very easy to use and I love the design of the manta ray. I remember decades ago when my younger brothers were babies, my mom taught me how she would use her elbow to check the water temperature. At the time, this was just the best method we had available. The elbow method required a lot of guesswork and consideration, since adults can tolerate higher/lower temps than babies. This floating water thermometer takes out all the guesswork! Now you can rest assured that baby will enjoy their bath safely.

Not just for babies! Cute little manta ray useful in or out of the bath
This bath toy/thermometer has such a sweet expression. It works for bath temperatures as well as room temperature. It has no off switch. Once you put it in water or press any of the buttons on the underside, it turns on. After a while (40 minutes or so) it will turn itself off. I worry a little that this will cause the batteries to run down faster than if it has an off switch.A red light indicates that the water is too hot, and a blue light comes on when the water is too cold. It floats, and keeps a constant reading. You can switch from C to F for the temperature using one of the buttons underneath. I checked it against the house thermometer on the furnace control and they agree, so it seems to be accurate. This is useful for anyone who wants to regulate the temperature of their bath water - including the elderly and infirm (some people have sensitive skin), as well as babies.I love the bright colors and the cheerful expression.

Cute Thermometer for Baby Baths
This bath thermometer is absolutely adorable and perfect for checking the temperature of bath water. We ordered the stingray one and loved it's cute purple color. It also has the cutest little face! First, I love that it has a digital easy to read screen and that it allows you to see the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius (my husband is Canadian so it is super helpful). It seems accurate as well and I've not noticed the temperature rating being off after many uses in my bath water. I love that it looks like another bath toy too so it won't scare the kids and is very durable. It also looks like you can change the battery in it which surprised me as my previous bath thermometers did not have this feature. Overall, it has been great for our family and I plan to purchase another one next time we have a friend that is pregnant!

Make sure the sensor is in the water
This thermometer seems to work just fine. I was able to set the temperature alarm easily. There was a slight issue that my wife experienced where it was reading the wrong temperature. It was reading one temperature, then when she moved it, the temperature jumped by 8 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature was then constant after that. Looking at the point where the sensor is, it's a little higher than the bottom of the thermometer, so it may form a bubble under it, so be sure you've set it in the tub in a way that keeps the sensor wet.

Very nice add-on to the bath setup
Let me start with the fact that my 1 year old absolutely adores this! Favorite bath toy! This would make it an enough reason to have it : )I like the ease of use: just throw it in the bath tube and when water is detected turn itself ON. Once taken out of water and gets dry turn itself OFF. Very nice feature, you don't have to worry about turning it off once done bathing and draining out the batteries. Also nice is the hot / cold alert: RED led for too hot, BLUE led for too cold water. Obviously we always check the water before, but having this kind of alert it's an extra step in safety.Overall really satisfied with it. Wasn't expecting all this features at such a low price.

Works great, my kiddo loves it!
This bath thermometer worked PERFECTLY. It blends right in with my son’s bath toys, and is really easy to use. Red light indicates water too hot, blue light for water too cold. It floats, and keeps a constant reading during bathtime—as a matter of fact, the only downside is that there’s no button to turn it back off, and it takes a long time to turn off on its own, which I am afraid may run down the battery in the long run. I never really needed one of these, but now that it’s winter and it’s colder in the bathroom, I need to make sure the water is warm enough so my little one doesn’t freeze. He loves it, and it does exactly what I need it to do, so it’s a win-win. I especially like that it actually displays the temperature, unlike the Munchkin duck that just has a “too hot” indicator and not much else.

Adorable!
I ordered this for my puppies. Can easily tell what temp the room is and their bath water and the stingray is super cute! My husband has even stolen it to see what the temp in the garage was lol!
