A voice like Andrea Bocelli's only comes along every generation or so, (if that) Caruso, Lanza, Pavarotti and Now Bocelli; They are my big 4. Not only does Bocelli have wonderful opera skills, but also tremendous pop singing skills, as well. As for classical singing; Bocelli's breath control is amazing; no one holds high, mid, and low notes (sang either intensely or softly) as long as Bocelli does. His diction is excellent; His tone is wonderful; His color is right in sink to the song being performed, dark or light, and all shads around those as needed. He has that tenor ring that can rise up over an orchestra, he sings just beautifully. As for his pop singing again it's spectacular; Bocelli can sing a pop song either in a classical way, or a bluesy way or almost anyway. He has tremendous versatility, I would rank him right at the top of pop singing for all time. Bocelli can sing big, bold, intense and beautiful, or can show us a soft side it seems like he is singing in one's ear, very sweetly and beautiful.Under The Desert Sky: Is a wonderful DVD/CD Set, . Bocelli's singing hear is Romantic, Passionate, filled with Emotion and his voice will go right into your soul and provide you with delight. Bocelli has a certain vulnerability (for lake of a better word) in his voice (when he sings pop) that can fill you with peace. He is just amazing. the DVD is wonderfully done in a beautiful setting of Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada. You will watch it over and over again. I have never heard a voice that has dropped me to my knees, since the first time I heard Barbra. This man is incredible and if you are lucky to witness him and his son, sing together, you are in for a experience of a lifetime. I am seeing him in June 22.

I love this album as it is the 1st pop album Andrea has made. The music is absolutely beautiful! I have worn out 2 cd's and now am on my 3rd.

I've been a self-proclaimed audiophile for over 50 years, and this sight andsound extravaganza by Andrea Bocelli, David Foster, David Horn, and so manyothers, is the finest I've ever witnessed. It's the first total pop concertthat Andrea has ever done, singing in Italian, Spanish and English, and heshows a whole new side to his marvelous talent. With a large HD TV, and a decent surround sound system, it's almost like being there, maybe better,(Itgets quite chilly in the desert at night). The combined string and percussionensemble, led by arguably the best Spanish guitar playing I've ever heard, willsurely blow you away. Of all my vast music collection, it is the only productionI can listen to often, and never get tired of.The only negative I can offer, is that the bonus CD that's included, is not thesoundtrack of the DVD. I also have a fine sound system in my vehicle,and I would like to listen to the original soundtrack in it. lol

This DVD is outstanding. If you love Andrea Bocelli I highly recommend this DVD. Also excellent are Vivere and my favorite, Concerto One Night in Central Park (with David Foster). If you are a music lover please also check out THE PIANO GUYS LIVE AT RED BUTTE as it is extremely entertaining, great music and a few surprises that will put a smile on your face, also it is priced very reasonably. Last December 7th I took my sister to see Andrea live in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand and he did 4 encore songs. Andrea is coming back this year, December 6th and will be appearing at the same venue. An absolute must see. I am going every time he is here. Unfortunately though he is only in Las Vegas one night for each appearance so don't miss his concert.

This is gorgeous. They send you the DVD as well as the CD. Andrea Boccelli is so wonderful to watch, and has the backing of themost excellent orchestra. I absolutely love the DVD and take the CD out everywhere I go. If you want to just forget everything, andlisten to his beautiful tones, you must buy this.

I watched this on tv a long time ago, and I have never being able to find in any music shop, so glad that Amazon decided to stock it, well worth the money as you get both dvd & cd in one complete package, well done Amazon

The CD is wonderful to listen to and the DVD is an extra bonus, both together is a double pleasure and more than well worth buying - doesn't matter if it's for yourself or as a gift.

Enjoyable collection of different music with a nice backdrop and special guests.Having both the DVD and the music discs give many hours of pleasure.

This guy could sing the phone book and we would buy it! Wonderfully romantic listening. Bought after seeing a concert of his on T.V.
