first time I ever used these things, no problems because I also bought the correct tool

Replaced my compass on our boat and this was the connection type used. Found this replacement and it fit perfect and was easy to install.

Used it to connect a light to my Spartan mower. Only needed half sines they already had the other half wired in already.

The plastic housings feel a little brittle -- which makes me think that they may not survive well in applications that require locking and unlocking them frequently. But otherwise, the connector kit is terrific. Everything went together easily and appears to be weather-tight. I did add some dielectric grease to the connectors (both where the wiring connectors and where the connectors mate) and to the ribbed boot to ensure moisture can't penetrate. I'd definitely buy them again.

These work good and are easy to setup. Not very cheap feeling and are very OEM feeling.If you need to get your wiring done the OEM factory plugs, this is the way to go.Why pay a company who pre makes it when you can just make them yourself? All you need is 16-14 gauge wire of any color code choice you want to make them and just put the prongs male or female to whatever socket type you need. Simple and easy. Use crimpers for best results, the prongs are easy to bend, so be careful when crimping. If you want to make sure the connection is solid and doesn't have problems in the future, just solder them together.Best part of this build, you can make the wires as long as you need and even put in a wiring loom if you want to protect your investment. These are cheap, and work well for a lot of makes and models with this type of plug. Recommend if you need a quick and simple fix!

This item was so bad I had to write a review. Flimsy connectors, failed after a few months on a kayak. It might work for you, but I had nothing but problems with durability and fit.

I bought this to wire up a Saddlemen heated seat for my Indian Springfield Darkhorse & it worked great! Everything worked how it was supposed to & it seems pretty sturdy. No complaints!

Product seems adequate. Plastic housing is a little on the brittle side. You do get what you pay for, I didn't figure that included the sandwich baggies with stickers as packaging. The Details also describe that crimping instructions are included; they are not.
