What I disliked about it was that the handle trigger broke after two uses and so I'm having to use it manually to spray it or to go buy another bottle but it works other than that like a champ my dog's hair is silky smooth and they like it and it smells good

I am very satisfied with this purchase of Kelco De Mat Spray, which is used on a cat which has just been bathed, to enable the tangles to comb out easily while one is blow-drying the cat. Persian cats which have very fine full coats can be quite challenging to groom, and this product is the best that I have found in 35 years as a breeder of Persians and Himalayans. I am glad that I purchased more than one bottle, so as to share it with other breeders who may not know about it. I especially like that the spray that comes out is very fine, and distributes itself nicely over the cat's coat.

I have had Bearded Collies with terribly massive coats for a long time. They are finely double coated with a rougher coat mixed in for fun. Well, you can imagine a fluffy flying dust mop that mats with every movement, and they are always rolling around and bouncing the rest of the time. This really helps to work through the mats, and it actually aids in preventing their formation. When they get out in the rain and come in drenched, I spray them down completely with the stuff, give them a quick wire brush touch up and let them air dry. They actually remain calm and presentable for a while. Then the cycle repeats itself all over again. Truly a great product.

This spray is amazing! I groom a handful of dogs whose coats always have the worst mats, and this stuff makes even the worst matting brush out super easy and fast. It has saved me a ton of time and saved the dogs from having to endure a ton of brushing. I won't groom without it now!

Can’t say enough good things about this stuff. We have a main coon cat that plays in his water, causing “mats from hell”. He is not an easy cat to groom either, of course, so we used to have to cut the mats out-resulting in many arm scratches and a pretty scruffy looking cat. In addition to daily brushing, when a mat starts to form all I have to do is hit it with a little of the Demat spray, work it in and wait about 10 minutes, then I can basically pull the mat out. Cat looks good, my arms no longer look like road maps and all is well.

I got this item hoping it was the same "De Mat" leave in and dematting spray at Country Paws in Mountain View, California. It is close to it, but has a strong smell, so I apparently gotta get a another spray bottle and dilute it.It came leaked out a bit in a bubble bag. It wasn't how much was lost of the product but the cleanup of the mess not once but twice. I had it in my car from trying it out non-diluted at a park. Needless to say, I didn't get it put up from the car quick enough before if had leaked out from a cheap nozzle that just cannot stay locked off.In conclusion, 2 stars due to strong chemical like aroma without dilution and due to cheap nozzle bottle that's sticky and stinky mess.Warning: Dilute it more than 50% or end up with your furbuddy with oily/dirty hair faster than otherwise.Will I buy again? Probably not.

Does exactly what it says. Excellent for dematting my wee dogs coat. Takes some of the stress out of grooming.
