These bend fairly easy if you don’t predrill. I had to go through asphalt and pretty much couldn’t do it unless using a smaller diameter masonry bit pre drilled.

Spikes
These 1/2” x 16” galvanized rebar are used to anchor heavy aluminum frame with alumiplast real estate signs in windy environment. Work well. Would recommend. Drawback? They are $8.00 a piece plus shipping. Not cheap but effective.
