Easy to hook up, be sure you have a good place outdoors to put it.
This was so easy to use. i put the device outside on the dock, and it magically connected with the device i use in the kitchen. Everyday i know the windspeed and temperature, inside, too. AND the humidity.. my house is so dry... who knew. I feel that i didn't do right by it for the windspeed, as i feel it underestimates the wind, but there were many trees blocking the wind. So... think twice about location. I don't need my readers to read the device, which is nice.

Nice unit
I installed on top of the fireplace flue enclosure outside. About 40 to 50 feet up from the ground. Not everyone will be as industrious as me. Seems to be accurate. Still struggling with the best place for the inside base unit but it is easy to read and a nifty tech/environmental device.

Stop working after a few months
Stop working change the batteries and still nothing .when I change the batteries 2 of them are super hot and couldn't even hold them and there is rust on two of the contacts looks like there is no rubber seal to stop water from coming in .junk if you ask me not very happy. They said they were going to notify me by email but two weeks now and nothing guess it's time to bring out the grase

So far, I'm pleased
I had this same product several years ago under a different label so it caught my eye when I came across it on Amazon. Set it up and found that it was easier to work with than previous iteration, not sure if it's really different or if the instructions are just better. But it seems to be working well, so far so good.

The Good, The Bad, The "Meh"
UPDATE: Wanted to love it, but I have now returned it. I plan on having a weather station for years, and there's no point in keeping one which has the faults listed below, mainly the inability to set key values due to non-functioning inputs, especially the barometer. I have not changed anything in my original review, below. This makes the second of these units I've rejected, both due to defective manufacturing.I've had a love-hate relationship with this weather station, for reasons which will follow. The first station which was sent to me refused to register any wind speed other than "0" but Amazon replaced it quickly. Just a dud; it happens. The main selling feature for me on this unit was its ability to automatically reduce the brightness to a minimal amount during sleep hours, 9pm to 6am, and since this sets on my night stand it was a must. This feature is rare on weather stations, other manufacturers need to get on board.Of course accuracy is of primary importance. Since I've always been a weather junkie, I have other calibrated stations scattered around the house, and the outside temperature reading is spot-on. I guess the wind speed is okay, but there's really no way to check it. But if there's a thunderstorm bearing down at night, it's kind of neat to be able to check the wind speed. The outside humidity appears to be just "approximate" when compared with my other stations, but electronic measurement of humidity is always iffy, particularly in lower end units. Now, here's why this unit barely gets three stars from me: some of the controls are simply inactive. Entering the calibration mode simply does nothing, the station simply stares back at you and doesn't change. And really frustrating is the inability to correctly set the barometer. The instructions say to enter the "manual mode," but pushing the specified button does nothing, it stubbornly continues to read "auto," which is far off the mark.I should also mention that this station has that classic LCD fade, place it anywhere above eye level and the readings wash out completely. One would think after so many years, this problem would have been resolved, but no.Finally, a word about customer service, it = non-existent. My calls to the help line were greeted by the familiar pattern of "That's another department, I'll transfer you," followed by the inevitable dropped call. Finally, I just gave up.In summary, this station will give you an accurate temperature reading, a close enough humidity reading, and an anemometer which at least spins when the wind blows. This would be a good starter station for someone new to the hobby, perhaps even a youngster who's interested in weather. But if you're looking for something more dynamic, there are many better choices on the market.
