Saucony Men's Jazz Original

Shoe looks great and wears comfortably.

Reviewed after a year of wearing:A true reproduction of a lightweight, breathable classic. These are fantastic especially for the price. They are a Japanese shoe and may run the tiniest bit snug, but not so much that you should change your size just enough that it's choice for narrow feet.These shoes add a pinch of height, as the tread comes out a bit. Speaking of which the tread is interesting... Doesn't do much to add grip but it's nice that rocks won't get stuck in them. The downsides of this shoe are what makes it nice. The upper is such a soft synthetic that your feet aren't really being kept in place at all. The sole being a bit narrow, especially coming in on the inside of your foot means that if you stand funny, the insides of your feet can just almost hang over the shoe.The strangest thing about these shoes however is that the extra laces came already laced meaning they had a white and a black set of laces already laced up... Double laced how odd is that?These make great beaters and the thick tread means they'll last me at least another year. I'm pleased.

I love the JAZZ sneaker line, ever since i discovered the low-pro's several years ago, these have been my go-to shoe for casual wear. Unfortunately, Saucony no longer makes some of the more versatile colors they used to carry in the low-pros. I previously had a pair of dark gray and burnt orange that I loved but they no longer carry anything like that, except for the gray and orange pair in their vegan line. So with limited options i decided to try a new color in the originals instead and went with this bold lichen green and cherry pop of color. Love them, they look awesome, are made well and are very comfortable. I'm ultimately glad i went with the original's this time around as they actually work better with my pants because of the higher heals.Keep in mind, the color shown for olive cherry is not accurate, the primary color looks brown on amazon, it is not, it is olive as the name states, i would describe it as a pale dark lichen green or pale army green, very stylish. The none brushed suede looking material in-between the suede areas are a cooler gray and not a warm gray as shown. The cherry is mostly accurate as shown, maybe slightly pinker. The saucony logo is greenish as shown...wearing them now :) Picture included, if you're monitor is calibrated properly, you'll find the the photo is pretty close to accurate.Get a pair and enjoy!

There is some confusion on the sizing of these shoes. Some reviewers said they were Men's, some said Women's. I ordered my usual Women's size 8.5, but the box and the label sewn into the shoe's tongue says Men's 8.5. That would equal a Women's size 7, but I tried them on and they fit OK, maybe a "squidge" big, but comfortable with my thick socks on. I then ordered a red pair, and I ordered Men's size 7. They were way too small. The only other reds in stock were Men's size 8, so I exchanged for those, and they fit very well. They also say Men's on the box and the shoe label. My usual shoe size is Women's 8 or 8.5 WIDE, so the sizing is all over the place. They are very well made and have a classic, subdued look, rather than the crazy neon ones that are very popular now. They remind me of saddle shoes from my youth!! I would recommend these, but you may encounter some sizing problems. Be sure to allow time for possible exchanges before you really need to wear them. I wear ONLY Saucony brand shoes and did not want to go outside of the brand because I know they fit my feet well--when they are the right size!!

True to size and comfy

While looking for a more comfortable casual, all-purpose shoe, I stumbled on the Amazon listing for this shoe. Remembering a most comfortable pair of Saucony running shoes from about 30 years ago, considering the excellent Amazon price (and free shipping) and reading the very positive customer reviews, I decided to give them a try. When they arrived, there were no great expectations. As soon as they were on my feet, however, I was amazed at how comfortable they felt. After wearing them that first day, I immediately ordered a second pair. It always seems that whenever I discover something outstanding, the product disappears from the shelves, the restaurant changes ownership, or the price goes up. I've worn them regularly now for about a month and a half - walking around, standing for hours while rearranging my work shop, doing heavy yard work, exercising at the gym - and they remain in like-new condition. I'm about ready to conclude that they are the most comfortable, light weight, durable ... and yes, best pair of shoes I've owned. I'll probably be ordering a few more pair before long (before they change the design ... or something.)Followup on 11/3/11: I still use these shoes daily. They remain comfortable and presentable. Rubber cleats on the soles are worn, but still effective for traction. All seams remain intact. Yes, these are the best shoes I've ever owned.

I like this company. I only wear Saucony

I like them... BUT! From the description I brought the Blue & Red pair. I received a Blue & Orange pair... not to happy about the color change.
