Moves a lot of air compared to 4 inch exhaust fans.
Very powerful, moves 320 cfm which is 4x more powerful than a typical 4 inch exhaust fan. The variable speed control plugs into an outlet and the fan power cord plugs into the speed control so the speed control will not be useful if you plan to hardwire the fan. It’s pretty quiet at full speed and very quiet at lower speeds.

A bit noisy, but working well to pull in cool air into the garage
I've not yet pair this up with a thermostat. At this point it requires me to turn it on. It definitely moves air. I'm not sure I agree with the 50db noise level. But it's in a garage so not much of a concern.Easy install into the wall. It helps that I have access to both sides, one being the attic above garage. I am also hoping that forcing cooler air into the attic will lower that temp a bit, and as a result lower temp in the bedroom above it.

Works great… when you don’t need it…
Apparently this fan has some kind of thermal protection circuit that shuts it off whenever the ambient temperature is over 105 or so… which completely defeats the reason I bought the thing. I live in Phoenix, and got it to vent the heat out of my garage. But it only works when it’s ‘cool’ enough that venting the garage is unnecessary. Wish I had known this before I bought the fan and spent a day modifying the vent outlet to fit.
